As a base global comment : _ anything that can be done by someone in the level up phase will be trivial to anyone with a full fledge IO set build _ anything that can be considered hard for a final build incarnate player ... will proved too much for anyone that is not. When I reached 50 I created a mission I could not complete at -1*1 while at the same time, full build could run it at 54*8 without finding it hard.
  2. Hello @eugee, I gave a good try to your map (and I'm still using it at this point. So I got a couple of remark to do 🙂 I love what you did with the Buffing Ally for the buff part, sadly part of the buffs are not targeted but in PBAOE around him, so you need to stay really stacked on him at all time or you might miss on a rotation of the PBAOE buffs (and if you miss the DEF/RES buffs you might end up in trouble during the uncapped levelup/buildup phase). On the other hand for the non-combat part, he might be not stealing XP but I've seen him move around way more then needed and running to aggro other packs as soon as they come into his range (even before the pack aggro-ed us naturally). In the optic of a full fledge farmer soloing the map, it's great, but in the light of a levelup/buildup farm map it's not always so fun. The 2 steps, first buff then click to spawn is a very clever way to allow access to the buffer before getting jumped by tons of mobs, sadly spawning the ambush also complete the mission. If anything unforeseen happens, as it's already complete, you can't come back. Usually it's good for levelup/buildup soloing as you don't want the tank to have to come back to a spawned map un buffed, but if you are in group, or with sitters, it's not always easy to get everyone out at each problem (and I got Phoenix in my build so I can mop a couple problem once in a while). If you want to keep it for single level up keep it like that, if you want it more group oriented, go for a third step, Buff, first Click to spawn, second click to end. The mobs : It's my main concern as I saw a clear variation between your description and the reality of what I'm facing. At least one type of mob in there is stacking some kind of debuff on me. I got my fire def and resist on combat monitor and I see them moving from my natural current build state 70-75% go up to capped 90% with your bot buffs, then going down sometime as low as 50% with all my toggles still up. I noticed that once everything is spawned, there are static packs and patrolling packs, maybe it's only one of those type that has some debuff left as I don't see the debuffs all the time. All in all a very good starting point and I'll be more then happy to keep on playing your map 😉 I might even go to engineer something similar myself as it is inspiring. Neopatch

It sounded like something fun to try ... so I gave it a try ... and it wents from to in Bing : in Civitai : I did not count the number of time the AI was blatantly not repsecting the prompt giving me things from the wrong color or forgetting a couple of them. And OMG, please who ever teach those AI, make them understand that unlesss stated otherwise, we want our characters with 2 hands and 5 fingers on each !!! I'm not sure I'll continue with another toon as I did not manage to get anything good on this one 😞

Hello @Shenanigunner, Just tried to configure this and after customising my files for the first time, for my first alt and loading them I noticed these messages : Maybe they added a limit at this patch because I don't think I've added more lines to your files... Also on a side note, for user of non US default keyboard, the name of the key in the file is half-wrong... (lol I know, I'll explain) My keyboard is an AZERTY, so I use the Z key and not the W key to advance, so I've changed the Bind in the file to use Z for the +forward rolling walk bind ... and it ended binding it on my W key instead, I guess I will have to reset the base file to bind it on W so it ends up on Z ... and it's going to drive me crazy (but that's ok I'm pretty much crazy from the start) Regards, Neopatch

  7. So my nickname is Neopatch and it has been for the last 25 years since The Matrix was released. If I create a Neo themed character and name him Neopatch, did he risk being genericed or is it only Comic characters that are at risk ?

Hello, I was on the beta shard, transfert server earlier to prepare the costume for a new blaster toon while the servers are down and I noticed that my Dual Pistol / Martial Combat had twice the power Reach for the Limit from Martial Combat in the power customisation screen : The first one can't be customised and is stuck on Original while the second can.   9. Hello everyone ! I did try to add a bunch of additional powers to my Farm Buff bots and globally it works, thanks to @TheZag for the great tutorial 🙂 I got a recurring problem with my buff bot not following the players around the map although he is set as follow. I tried to set him as Follow + Fight Defensive (so he would just buff and heal) but he barely moves his ass. I tried to set him as Follow + Aggressive and he moves a bit more, like half a block in an open map, and then he moves back to the start of the block and wait there. Everytime the player comes back near him he would refresh the buffs and if enemies are following the players, he would act on them, but he would never follow the players around. Any idea what would cause this ? Edit : Adding the Arc ID if anyone wanna see it for themselves : 59101
  10. Hello @SpaceHor5e, I was in the idea to do the same so I've set aside a couple of powersets that would be of use for a S/L farm. What I looked for was sets with enough powers that were doing only Smashing or Lethal (or both) damage and no "disturbing" powers like -res, -def, cc on player or +def, +res, +heal on the mob. Taking that into account, for secondary, there is not much choice as only one looks usable : Martial Arts with powers : Storm Kick Shuriken Focus Chi For Primary I saw 3 sets that could be used : Claws with the following powers : Swipe Strike Spin Follow Up Eviscerate Dual Blades with : Nimble Slash Power Slice Throwing Knives Blinding Feint Sweeping Strike Savage Melee with : Savage Strike Maiming Slash Blood Thirst Rending Flurry Hemorrhage In term of power/damage they would inflict, I think they are in the correct order, with Claws being the weakest and Savage Melee being the hardest hitting one. Combining each of this primaries with the only secondary will give you maxed 100% XP for minions (without the need to select everything), I did not get the number for lieutnants but for Boss I noted ; 77% XP for Claws, 91% for Dual Blades and 100% for Savage Melee. My guess is that lieutnant probably can reach 100% xp (or close) with Dual Blades. So my plan was to go with lots of Claws Minions, average Dual Baldes Lieutnants and some Savage Melee Bosses, adjusted each to barely reach 100% without the most damagin power/buff if possible.   16. Hello all Freedomers ! I was in the Beta server (hello to all Primers ! ) 😉 And then @Khortex was on Freedom from day one or rather from day -3 ... -4 as I was in the headstart (thanks to @Leilani for getting us pre-order copies of the game that was unavailable to EU players). Proud founding member of Astral Force (with old friends from SWG's Astral Fantasia band) a day one SG that did not last long enough. Then I was in a couple of SG after that (I remember Freedom Reborn and Damage Inc, also the name Legion of Doom rings a bell, not sure I ever joined you full time) I was on the channel Radio Freedom for a long time !!! I did a couple of alts on Liberty but I was mostly only on Freedom, on and off until sunset... 😞 I searched for a way to keep playing COH after that with no luck, then kept the despair to me until NCSoft did the right thing and it went first page news on every gaming sites around the world ! So hello to all those I remember and saw around this thread @Myrdinn @SuperDan @Elendil @Neko @DoomStar @Fire Assault and sorry for those I did not, there was so many of you ! Thanks for the quick reply 😉 1 and 2, ok, mule powers 😉 For 3) I'm working on the accolade at the moment, I don't activate Tough on Fire Farm of course but I do activate it outside of FF (TF, Trials, Incarnate, ...) I noticed that the AFK build is defining Spine Burst as "the" power to auto and use a lot (which correspond to my current way of manualy playing) while the non AFK version is not even picking the Spine Burst power (and I might understand that the End cost of it might explain why I run out of End so fast in my rotation)
  19. @America's Angel Thanks a lot for reassuring me and for the non-AFK build ! This build did make me ponder a couple of powers in my and your build : 1) +Phoenix Rising : Do we plan to still die so much that a self rez is important ? (I must admit that the rate at which I die at the moment is skyrocketing) 2) +Vengeance : errr ? 3) -Consume : Right now, even using Consume whenever it's up, I spend my time out of End. I just hit 50 with this first character, so I'm quite far from all the high level incarnate slots / powers and I'll need to use this unslotted character to farm the inf to actualy purchase all these IO. Do you think that the Stamina / Health buff/procs wil be enough to pull this off? Regards, Neopatch

Hello all, After a big break that started on live, I found out very lately about Homecoming (Thanks NCSoft for the involuntary advertisement they made by granting HC team, a licence to exploit the game). I soon found out that I would need a farm to gather all the ressources for end game, and searching all around, end up to the conclusion that a Spine Fire Brute farmer was the way to go (ooopsy) Now I end up with a brand new, 50 from today, Spine/Fire Brute farmer for which I had the following respec build planned for 50 : I know this is no longer the optimal choice of powerset for a farmer, but is there anyway something that can be done with it ? Thanks in advance for any help provided (and yes I followed the same advice that brought Derek Icelord here from the Brute Archetype forum to this forum that has been refered to as the Lair of Farmer Builders 😉 ) Brute (Spines - Fiery Aura) - FeelingOfPain.mbd
