  1. I believe you can also use something to the effect of: /bind key "powexec_location target Burst of Speed" This should immediately use a location based targeted effect on your target. Instead of target you can use me or self to do the same thing with rain powers to make you the center of the location based power.
  2. Another thing to toss into the mix is the Force Feedback proc. There's no "cooldown" on it and slotted into an AoE power can proc fairly often (judging by my Warshade usage) if you find yourself using said power on large groups of mobs. Here's a thread talking about it and it also has a link to Arcanaville discoursing on it as well: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php/topic,1211.msg45244.html#msg45244 I've regularly seen it proc 3 times a minute and ignore the Wiki, it's flat wrong.
  3. Oh for sure! And if that had been the case it'd make more sense.. I don't remember specifically what they were but it was definitely a PBAoE centered on them and they weren't dark, and given the time period could only have been Emp or Rad. I remember Dark Miasma having a smidge of a stigma at the time too if I'm remembering correctly, which probably didn't help.
  4. Something that always irked me on live, I'd be running my D3 (dark/dark defender) and there was another defender/controller in the group that just loved to spam their PBAoE heal. I would be running all over the place spamming darkness and debuffs everywhere, enemies are wiffing left and right, health bars are pegged to full as I nerf mobs accuracy in to the ground. 20 minutes into doing missions and people in the group start saying, "Nice Heals!" and "Great job healing!". 95% of the time this person is just doing a green laser light show which just looks pretty and somehow everyone thinks thats why everything has run so smoothly... ::) :o It still stings a little. :-\
  5. ED hurt. I was maining a fire/devices blaster with 6 slotted damage and an aim bot. Oh lord, I set the world on fire. There was a satisfaction in watching all those numbers roll off the herd and how fast they dropped. After the diversification hit, without anything to fill the vacuum, my poor blaster died so much. Things just didn't die fast enough for me to live. I spent a month diving into perma-debt trying to figure out a way to make him, well, feel like a hero again... and basically gave up on Blasters until IO's. I try not to think much about that time in CoH. There's some scars there. But I like the game as it is more now than how it was then. It worked out eventually but damn was it ham-fisted.
