  1.   I can see that with the rad/fire farmer build, I run 2 rad/fire brutes also then I made my dark/rad tank and well.......he farms fire, s/l.....arachnos, thorns, carnies, malta, BP. I'm no tank expert but I know what I like and I really like the dark/rad pairing for content and more

  2.      Alright...let me think about this for a moment, I'm thinking that the demons out damage the necro purely based on the pets and this is mainly due to the Lich being more a debuff/control type pet as opposed to the Demon Prince before the secondary comes into play. With kin I think I would have to give the edge to necro and this is mainly due to the Grave Knight and the damage they can bring along with the recent changes to the necro set. As far as keeping them alive, run in BG mode and don't forget if you do go necro the dark empowerment buff can take healing IO's now with enchant undead able to take resist IO's to help in their survivability. I do have a demon/kin who was made for a succubus theme........draining her victims of their life force kinda thing is an interesting combo and does survive pretty well, I'm not quite sold on her yet but that could be do to her build needing to be fine tuned.

        I have a demon/dark build that stays primarily in melee with them boys.......she suffers from a permanent case of scrapperlock. After a while you've either learned to completely tune out their battle cry or found the volume control and turned that way down when dealing with demons

  4.   My all time favorite dark/dark pairing is troller and my namesake toon. I've run dark/dark scrapper, dark/dark stalker and a dark/dark dom all to 50.....the dom and scapper are insanely fun with the stalker feeling a bit underwhelming with damage he did manage to tank Rommy while doing an all stalker TF though. I would probably say after the troller would be the dom for fun and crazy stuff as I rediscovered this combo after watching some videos that @Voltak had put on the dominator forums

        That's fine, figure I'd pop in with the demons and FFG up and then lay down the mortar and triage as needed.........again it's a concept build and the TTP feature of poof in the middle of a mob sounds fun for the build

  6. @StrikerFox,   Thanks for the advice you gave and after looking through everything you posted I made changes to build 2 based on it.

     

      - I swapped out fly for TP and went the whole TP travel route with only keeping hover for the defense boost in combat with the added 3rd BotZ piece for AoE defense. Even added team tp for a pop in moment into the middle of mobs, this should be really interesting if it works like I'm seeing in my head

      - Acid mortar slotting was changed as well

      - Swapped slotting a bit with demons and demon prince, thought about your suggestion with the demonlings but couldn't seem to pull that swap as I usually like the build up proc in my demons.

  8.   I'm looking for some help with my demon/traps build, demon's is pretty straight forward but traps is a different beast entirely for me. I've got 2 builds I'm deciding between with them both being concept builds for a demonic entity being trapped inside of an A.I construct.

     

      Build 1 is more defensive and I believe I have most of the must have for traps but not entirely sure if it's right for the pairing

       Wait there are people that don't think Group Fly is good on an MM.............wait, I get it GF is a kinda niche power but it's sooooo good on an MM and really helps avoiding some mobs and travelling especially in the Shadow Shard, Hollows and other areas.

  10. @meyerwolf406, Love me some dm/regen, might be my favorite scrapper build. While regen takes a lot of work to make it viable in the late game with all the debuffs you're dealing with.....it's still a blast to play with the hanging on by the edge of the seat type of battles you'll get into.  I've built mine with near perma soul drain and hasten, about 2 seconds off each and hit soft capped defense numbers on smashing/lethal and melee along with a fair amount of debuff from ToF and of course soul drain slotted as an attack plus the gaussian's proc for added build up.  While I'm no expert or anything like that I do find this build fun and hope it gives you some ideas for yours.....think outside the box and mix/match pieces to fit the style you want to play.........high recharge, high defense, high resists.......whatever you come up with should be fun and exciting.

I've played it to 50 and have him started on the incarnate path and while I really like him I'm looking for some feedback on if I can make him better.     I know Doc cherishes my input on his builds, so I'll make 3 suggestions on how to improve an already solid build.  First, you don't need 17 KB Protection for PvE.  Take out that Steadfast slot in Dark Embrace and place the slot elsewhere.   Second, with your Demon Prince, remove the Unbreakable Constraint proc.  The prince has 7 attacks he uses.  Only 1 is a Hold, so the proc can only go off when he uses that 1 attack.  Ok, he does like to open with this Hold attack, but its not worth a proc slot.  Third, in regard to the power Stamina.  You're wasting that 3rd slot - that's all I'm saying about that.

     

    Oh, and whats the deal with Hurricane?   Is that a power actively used or is it situational?  I don't understand what is going on with the slotting.

     

       First things first......I appreciate all input on my builds both good and bad as it shows me what I'm doing right and/or wrong. Mostly I like a different view point then my own to open my eyes to different avenues that I may not have thought of.

     

        Now on to the points @bellona100has made............they are correct on all points and I agree with them on most of them but the hold proc in demon prince is more of a choice than a necessity based on my optics of seeing the Demon Prince cast their hold power a lot.....now again I have been told I play like a blind man and may not be seeing things clearly so take that for what it's worth.

     

        Now to hurricane........I very rarely use it but I take it because it looks cool and every now and then the urge to pop hurricane and trap things in a small corner then pop LS and nado is too much to resist. It's more of a why not or got nothing else to take power for me.

     

       Finally, Stamina and it's 3rd slot......cause with this build I gas out a lot........I have too much fun propping storm powers and attacking so I tend to run outta gas.

        I will agree with this statement also.......I'll never tell you my build rocks or is the most ultimate this or that but I will say that the majority of the builds I post are still actively played and I find them fun.....which to me is the most important thing. Can I solo TF's or AV's on a lot of them......not very likely. Do I enjoy them.....without a doubt.......well except my demon/thermal, not sure why though.....never mind that rant is for another time. Point is, us the the builds to get an idea, test things out, find what works for you and then make that.

  15.    The Demon/Storm bringer of chaos.......this was my first toon I created when I logged on to HC for the first time and my first 50 as well. Such a fun combo with so much mayhem going on with tornado, lightning storm, freezing rain and all the demons going crazy.  With the MM playstyle and storms the biggest issue will be endurance so you'll need to keep that in mind, the MM's truest attack chain are the pets with your attacks being the added seasoning to the chaos and with LS,FR and nado offering extra damage........well it's the cherry on top.

     

       As for how to play the AT and pairing........that's up to what works for you and how you like to play but I've found MM's can't really be pigeonholed into a specific role and are more "all things" type of creation. You can control with some builds, defend with others, bring insane damage, keep everyone safe with healing or shields and last but certainly not least you can be an insane buffer or debuffer while still bringing damage.

     

      I'll log onto my other computer that has my builds and post my demon/storm. While she may not be the prettiest she is quite nasty to give you an idea.

  16.   Necro/cold  is a fantastic combo.....very strong with all the recent updates to necro. Another solid pairing would be necro/storm........can never go wrong with storm. A Dark horse is necro/thermal because flaming zombies are awesome

     

  17.   I love this pairing, it's so much fun and with the damage aura, burn and soul drain pairing it makes enemy mobs just melt away. Here's my current build that has been doing some good things for me. Love having the double end recovery powers

  21.   With the changes to necro it really took my necro/cold MM to a whole new level of nastiness. The crits from the knight, paired with the debuffs from sleet and the Lich.......so much undead carnage
