  1. I'd send in a support ticket about this, honestly.
  2. Blue/red side doesn't really matter, in my experience. Blue side outdoors missions took me longer but not a lot longer, the enemies spawn pretty quickly and you can always coordinate with other players. Red side is busier than when I was starting, the outdoors mission areas on Mercy are less deserted now so you'd probably have the same problem. There aren't many outdoors missions anyway and the game is pretty accomodating about them. As to your second question, just pick the one that suits you best. If you change your mind within the first few levels you can always go back and start from scratch without wasting a lot of time.
  3. This happened to me too. I thought it could be just a false flag so I uploaded it to Virus Total. It found a connection with a domain name that as far as I could determine was related to malware. Not sure what was going on but decided against running it just to be safe. Anyone who wants to replicate the results can do so if they're curious.
  4. If you read properly the text you quoted, it's not about usernames alone but content in general. I'm also pretty sure the mods are applying these rules in the same way many other games and sites apply rules like this. Presumably naming your character "Pirate" or discussing fictional gambling is ok, but linking to gambling or piracy sites would not. You seem to be making a really big fuss and seeing loopholes were there are probably aren't any in practical terms. I do think certain names and content would really cross a line even if they're fictional, such as child porn, slurs, suicidal ideation, etc. If nothing else it's rude to expose people to this if you don't know what their hard limits are. For some people it's not just being "hypersensitive", it's about not wanting to deal with real life problems they may have experiencing when trying to have fun and play a game. The game itself has some aspects that I don't think have aged very well but of course I don't think that's the Homecoming team's fault. I would just expect some good moderation when it comes to interactions between players and some consideration to try to make even "dark" missions and plots dark but not offensive if they ever make new ones. That doesn't mean shying away from the fact that crime and villains exist in this game and that you can play gritty characters, just making sure that people aren't roped into situations that distress them in real life.
  5. I would support this. It's just a short animation to make things easier for everyone. At least, it would be nice if you could walk through pets or toggle their visibility on/off in certain areas where it doesn't affect gameplay but does affect other people's ability to navigate them properly.
  6. Are there keys you can't use for bind? I'm on a Euro keyboard so there are some keys I can't find the name of. Do I just input that key's character after "/bind"? Can you use /unbind to change default game keys? There are some keys I'd like to change around but I'm not sure if the game's default function for those keys can be replaced.
  7. I'd love this. In addition to trans and genderqueer characters it would be nice to have more costume/body options that don't automatically pick a character's gender.
  8. For some reason you can't have a male character wear a tux jacket with wings. You can do this with female characters and I think you can with huge as well. I Googled it and apparently it's a known bug: https://cityofheroes.fandom.com/wiki/Wedding_Pack It would be awesome to get a fix for this bug, if possible!
  9. I found this: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php?topic=1395.0 There are posts in that thread about the new badges, including where to find them.
  10. I could be wrong but I think if you pick "The" during character creation, it'll be the same colour as your character's name by default. That's how it usually displays for me when looking at other characters.
  11. I don't know how familiar you are with the game but PvP takes place in specific areas. All servers have those but they're easy to avoid if you're not interested in them. Conversely, if you're interested in PvP but play on other servers you can pop by those areas and play. In my experience, if you like PvP you might want to choose Indomitable. I'm on Everlasting and the PvP areas tend to be pretty empty but you can still try them out and see what you think. Indomitable as a PvP server is like Everlasting with RP. It's not exclusive to those servers, it's just where people who are interested in those things have unofficially decided to gather. You can RP in any server but will probably find more RPers on Everlasting.
