  1. Hmm....perhaps turning his timed missions into a strike force that is unlocked after you do his regular arc?  By making it a strike force that can be repeated like the others that would give people that have technical troubles and crashes the ability to try again.

I am assuming the old wiki is not up to date. Tomax long ago disappeared

am am I wrong?  Is some of it updated?  Did all the tomax stuff get tanked or is there another site?

Paragonwiki is in stasis lock.  They have no plans to make changes for any post shutdown adjustments to the game.

That being said said it is still a good place for issue 1-23 info,  a few things were not completed including ish 24 data prior to shutdown.

  3. You should be able to gain badge progress after your initial weekly the run. Every week once I've gottem double merit and the notice, I run the Tfs the next day and get standard merit and badge progress. I also tested sometime back when it was the Respec trials.

Ran the blue for double merits, flipped to red and ran that respec and only got standard plus badge progress

  4. Back in the day I copied and pasted alt to test 5 times and ran the missions with each one, failing different amounts of the missions.

Goint off some old notes, I failed one and still got the badge. Failing two or more failed the badge...during testing.

On a whim I want back to test server a few days later and logged them in and the badge dinged on each.  Made no sense, I reported it, got the standard thanks response and then an update or two later it appeared to be corrected when I tested it again .

This was circa issue 19 or 20 I think.

given that unforeseen tech issues such as isp failing or PC having a major crash or hardware error that can fail a mission and lose the badge, perhaps it is time to arrange them into an arc for ouroborus.

The missions themselves are easily soloed and a team effort will not give the team the badge only the mission owner. Check for my guide to this badge buried somewhere in this forum

So you need to do the Mothership raid to get the Unabashed badge.  But the raid I went on used the instanced version of RWZ, instead of the actual zone.  Can the badge be gotten there, or only in the actual zone?

Good question, I haven't heard of it not being in the instanced versions but I haven't been in any of them either.  Only way to find out, I guess.

  6. Sorry but that badge has never been available in ouroborus and had always been only fo the mission holder to receive.

There is no other way to obtain it.

That being said, since you had technical connection problems perhaps sending a ticket to the GM may help.

    Good luck

  7. Well now you can get them all via ouro but if memory serves that wasn't possible back in the day.  Praetorian had to go thru the levels, sometimes shutting off xp for a bit until they had them.

Also it's good to have one dedicated badge Hunter (b'unter ?) That gets t badges fast as possible and then another that you take your time with and enjoy the game more

That's 100 Magma Lords, 100 Rularuu Overseers and 100 Incownate Thorns... especially that last one!  They're rather hard to find in the world map, does anyone know Ourobovos missions with these in reasonable amounts?

For the lords, there's one at the end of the first part of Who Will Die, so I may just run that over and over (like I did the Zeus Titans) but is there a better one does anyone know?

And where exactly are those damnable Incownate Thorns hiding in Dark Astoria?!   Thank moo in advance for any help!

Magma bosses set yourself to -1 difficulty and mobsize of at least 6 and farm the last mission of the first chapter of the signature story arc. Defeat all bosses reset mish and repeat.

Rularuu overseers,. Patrol the shadow shard zones or run the task forces, you will get them.

    Incarnate Cot, patrol dark astoria

  9. Best thing I did was play some of the content, leave Preatorian, rapidly get to 50 and go back via ouro and run all the story arcs in praetoria. Some badges can only be won by doing all the arcs.

For the morality missiions, 5 choices for a badge as I recall, and also a badge for choosing resistance and one for choosing loyalist.  Run them via ouroborus twice to see all the outcomes.

Avid reader if you miss it, become an incarnate and run through one of the itrials then talk to Prometheus until the badge dings

I hate doing this on my brute badger.  Super Strength doesn't really help much when you slowly pick them off one by one while 20 of them run in the nearest doorway while you manage to get 2

I found it more efficient to farm the last mayhem after my alt had t4 ion core installed.

Still leaves a bad taste though taking down divilians

  11. The pursuer badge is rewarding upon login.  There is no notification that you got the badge but if you check your Recent or Events badge tab you should now see it.

It is an anniversary badge from 2006 for City of Villains release. If you are rogue or villain the name should alter to Elusive.

It was rewarded for logging in during November of 2006

So story time. On live I frequently reported people who attempted to dictate to others how to play their characters and got them banned for days at a time. It very much was against the rules to so much as say you should do this  or dont do that, it qualified as harassment. Likewise threatening to boot unless one capitulated was also bullying and would come with longer bans. I know because those I got banned frequently would then send me in game emails once they got back from their vacation threatening to get me blacklisted from SGs and alliances. Which I would then report as well for harassment and bullying and they would get banned again. One a leader ofa  major SG and regular leader of MSR on virtue ended up perma banned because they just could not understand what they were doing wrong when they would contact me in game to berate and attempt to intimidate me.

If you want to boot someone, do so but do not insult them, tell them how to play, or attempt to command their play. All qualify as harassment. Do not threaten to boot them because of X, that is bullying. If you cant communicate without trying to use a Stick to get your way you need to play solo.  People using their powers as intended does not qualify as anything actionable by admin at least not on live. I assume the HC team admins follow a similar set of guidelines.

Having a conversation or debate is fine. Trying to order other players around, or make demands upon how they should play are not. Ive gotten many a startator banned for harassment because they kept telling people on the team what to do. Not suggestinga  strategy mind you, but telling them you must do this, dont do that or Ill boot you etc. That behavior is not acceptable and is certainly uncivil and antisocial.

Startator......I like that.    Ran into a few back in the day with the mindset of do as I command or I can ban you from the server.  Most of them found themselves with some sudden downtime from the game.  Can't imagine why....

But seriously, there is no one way to play, no absolute right way to play this game.  One of the best things of the game is the diversity a team can have.  KB can sometimes be a problem but good strategy and compensation for it in the field can deal with that.

The KB to KD io to me are a luxury item however I build my alts with defense in mind first and foremost. If a build of mine cannot achieve the smash and lethal caps with the KB/KD io, then the io is jettisoned from the design in build planner.

If I am going for something like perma light form with defense cap on my PB, same thing, the io is last on the list to consider, if it can be installed without breaking defense or recharge requirement then great. Otherwise not my problem

  13. As to the knock back to knockdown io,  that to me is a luxury item is on keep others from crying about your alt having knock back

Me and a pal of mine worked out a build for our peacebringers that is defense capped and perma lightform. The only two powers converted to knockdown are the Nova blast power and one of the melee powers of human form.  That's it, and that is how it will stay. I knew how to compensate for knock back back in the day and I build my alts to my design and wishes and no one else.

Note:  New Dark Astoria is one of those places where you don't get the little pop-up icon under your health bar indicating that you're in a Day Job location.  But you are.  Just log out for an hour, and check your Badge progress afterward.   You should see progress.

Same with the log out anywhere in first ward. As long as it is not a spot for any other day job such as the other three from that zone, or the hospital or the graveyard you should get progress. I find logging out by the dimension tunnel to be the best and safest for that one
