Also, for lowbies terrified of traveling through PI, the Tunnel will take you direct to Firebase Zulu, for dimensional explorer. From there you can safely get to portal Corp in PI for Intern, and the Arena is reasonably short trot for Duelist.

Also if I recall the hospital in Pi is near the water, so from portal Corp you could take the hospital express by getting defeated, go to the hospital and then swim safely to the arena.

As to th day jobs, I use them to keep idle alts busy. Every four days I log in the next ready group and move them to the next Day job.  As to charging up the useful ones...it does look like you need 21 days to completely charge up the power, which was the same back in the day. One of my alts is a natural origin scrapper who uses street justice and will power, so in keeping with the fact that they would have a utility belt full of gadgets they would spend time charging the accolades that confer temp powers like smoke bombs, etc.  All in all though, I still do not like the day jobs. They may take less time to obtain, but it is still about 33weeks to get them all, presuming that is all you are doing is day jobbing

Honestly every time I've gotten this badge it's after I've stopped trying. Seems you just need RNG to be on your side. But at the very least having everyone use fly/jetpack types powers helps, though I've never dragged him outside the building -- just have to stay off the ground inside the building and that works fine.

And yes, everyone has to avoid the mines to get the badge. It's not a personal achievement.

Yeah I've done it inside in the past  but for those that can't or won't fly, teleporting to the rooftops and sending lore pets to the street is great.  Also more room to maneuver outside. But mileage varies.

Also that this badge is dependent on the whole team...well it's not as annoying as the avoids the green badge in Keyes incarnate trial.

That hasn't been my experience, but regardless you can get this pretty easily with just lore rushing him and not needing to use floor avoidance tactics. I've never had to do that to get the badge.

It's always been my experience then and now that if one person gets hit that badge fails unless one of the recent patches did a stealth change to the badge.  Back in the day I obtained it many times without going outside, but going outside I think is the better way. Mileage varies

  4. So I remembered this part of the Haunted House trial and  ran it last night.

Before entering the haunted house, speak to a contact outside, then to the bored girl on one side of the house, then the bored guy on the other side, and then back to the initial contact where the boss called Black Whip awaits.

Quick fight, no badge and I see no badge progress anywhere for it on the mid-level alt I used that has only a few badges so I could easily check.

So aside from a brief bit of fun, is there a point to spawning and beating the Black Whip?

Paragonwiki has no data, it mentions this part of the haunted house but the article is incomplete.  I rechecked the badge tabs on the alt and see no change. No mystery badge meters no unusual badges.

The whole team doesn't need to fly, it is a personal badge, only you have to not get hit. I have this badge on just about every character I've run the TF on and I have never actually tried for it. Just have everyone summon their lore pets for director 11 and he dies so fast that the probability of getting the badge is very high. Lore pets summoned this way can last up until the end of the next mission and help with the goliath war walker as well, so it is a good time to summon them anyways.

If one person gets hit the badge fails for all.

Either the team flies at high altitude while the lore pets pound director 11, or else team members should watch while standing on a building rooftop.

I use incandesence to warp the team to a roof after the glowies are clicked. Lores get spawned and we lock them onto director 11

Is there a list of story arcs or ones that give souvenirs that aren't accessible in Flashback? I've got a character that I'm using to go through as many contact missions as possible, but it's starting to feel a bit grueling since I like team/leveling but I dont want to out level my contacts. I just want to know if there are missions that are worth doing this for.

Efficiency expert Pither does not have his timed missions in ouro.

The kheld and soldier ones I think are only available for those archetypes.

Roleplay.  They've been used for player-run events on this server . . . at least until people started making more private venues with their bases.

Hmm so basically costume contest and parties within the game ala pocket d, bases and khalsti wharf.

Question, if one logs out in one of those zones do they stay in it or return to pocket d?

Also I noticed that the mission architect in the Halloween zone seems semi functional, it let me set a mission but I couldn't launch it.

  8. So you chat with Nul the Gull and he States he can send you to special zones where it's always winter, or Halloween or a beach party....

....I've checked those zones and while they look nice they seem to have no purpose.

Example; the Halloween. Zone is atlas park made to look haunted for lack of a better term. The haunted house is there, but there is no trick or treating, no Jack or eochai, can't enter the haunted house, no banner event, no special Halloween tip mission.....

Is there a purpose for these zones?

Here I am just happy to have gotten over 200 badges and Portal Jockey.

    One day, one day...

Well the thing to remember is that while it might be a marathon to get the badges it also is not a race.  There are a finite amount of badges and unless something new gets added, everyone will be hitting max badges next year.  Halloween, winter and spring events have yet to arrive, so rigjt now some Badgers should be at or near the limit pending the events

  10. That data is not accurate, locate in your temp powers the icon that should say   countdown to (powername here) and right click it. It will show that amount of time left.

Basically once you alter alignment you have to wait seven days of real time

You seem to keep injecting some alternate meaning or subtext to my posts that isn't there.  I never suggested lootboxes weren't worth discussing nor did I say what anyone should or should not post.  I simply tried pointing out that in my experience sub fees probably aren't going to work all that well for what the poster was after.

If lootboxes are what is being thought about as a means of revenue, then yes, absolutely there needs to be a big discussion about them.

The whole idea of subscriptions vs micro transactions for this game is moot right now.  If ncsoft finally gives their precious blessing then perhaps some system could be setup. But the admins have also said that the homecoming CoH servers would always be free to play.

Hmmm... the mega badge tracker spreadsheet says Escapist is for leaving Praetoria for Primal Earth after completing one of the four story arcs (Warden, Crusader, Responsibility, or Power). Is this accurate?

What happens if you hit level 20 and leave Praetoria without having completed any of the four greater arcs? I guess what happens is you don't get the Escapist badge. And I don't believe the "leaving Praetoria through the rift" mission is available in Ouroboros.

All the preatorian missions are in ouro, some are in the level 50 bracket. You can get all Praetorian badges via ouro.

  13. Tempered through fire used to be a log in badge. Just like  passport was once for those that shifted to the EU server when it came online as I recall some of the other accolade badges that you see had their requirements altered from the old days.

Doorbuster badge is now for smashing 100 doors/barriers, it used to be for having logged in during a specific date/time range back in the day.

Obliterator and escapist are also badges changed post shutdown.

Don't get me wrong, paragonwiki is still a great resource for a lot of game data but they currently do not plan to update for post shut down changes.

Have no idea if anyone else is experiencing this problem.

Ten of my Rogues are not getting any credit for the Monitor Duty badge.  I reported this in-game on Saturday.  So far, no reply from any of the devs.

Saturday I had been gone from these rogues 17 days and they all should have earned this badge by now but some have a bar that is not moving.  The others don't even have that.

I keep going back and forth placing these rogues back in the base.

Sounds like a zone bug, use the portal in pocket d. Park them next to the portal and make sure the day job icon appears before you log out

  15. While teleporting from my base to some other zones I have of late stopped and pondered why some of the destinations were set as they are.

Newer zones like dark Astoria and Khalisti Wharf have good destination points for you to appear at.

Perhaps the other teleport destination points in the zones should be updated?

Perhaps a good place for the zones would be in the center of the zone? Or perhaps on the steps to the hospital in the zone?

    Hello heifers and gentle-bulls,

Using HeroStats and the binds that AboveTheChemist put together, it's possible to import the badges you cowrently do have; does anyone know a way you cud check them off against a full list and highlight the ones still missing? It's rather a herd task to manually add over 1100 for me to the spreadsheet!

    Thank moo for any suggestions.

Once upon a time there was badge-hunter.com.  sadly it has not returned

  17. I took the build posted above and made a few minor modifications

Essence Boost slotted with Panacea instead of regen tissue as Panacea can go to Level 50 vs Lvlv 30 of Regen tissue. The increase recharge from that set makes essence boost now perma charged 117 sec vs 120 duration

Two slots diverted to health, Panacea, Preventive Medicine and Miracle Proc installed.

A few other minor adjustments and now Light Form is down to 90.14 recharge time vs 90 duration.

  18. Would it be possible to update the locations where one would materialize in a zone after teleporting from their base?

I've always felt that some of the arrival spots where a bit oddly chosen.  Is there anyway base owners can edit their teleporters to change destination points or would it just be the devs updating the system?  I was thinking that wouldn't it be better or perhaps safer if one were to materialize say on the roof of the hospital in a zone, or outside the base entrance portal in the destination zone?  New Dark Astoria is set that way, yet say Atlas teleporter puts you far west of City Hall for example.

  19. Well for me Dwarf was mainly a mule and I didn't flip to it often, except perhaps for some of the itrials.

Ah well, I guess the only way for me to see these human forms in actions is to respec and try,

However as I look at the Ganymedean v2 in my mids, I see that with combat flight, stealth and maneuvers turned on that S/L def is only 9.6, and those 2 are the key defense stats to raise. The others are in the low to mid teens except melee which is also 9.6

Those numbers I must admit are not that appealing to me.

Light form has a 94 sec recharge to its 90 duration but Spiritual or Agility in Alpha slot can boost it to be true perma.

  20. I've looked at these builds in my updated mids and I like them but for one thing.....they seem to have a bit of a lack of defense.

My old PB that I am rebuilding now was dual form, mainly operated in human form with perma light form + def cap and had dwarf form as an IO mule and as a fall back if necessary as light form combines with dwarf resistances.

But do these human form only with perma light and no defense really hold up in intense battle?

Haven’t tried for that one yet, and yes it sounds inconsistent...But regardless to get that badge awarded, you will have to go Rogue anyway, just switch over and log off

I know, Im just racking up the badge meters on all of them then make the switch, the badges ding then I switch back

Update: must have been a bug, I had to move my vigilante to the next redside only DJ spot and decided to check the Crey building again, this time it let me in. Go figure.  Then in a few days I go to the final redside only DJ I need, fill that badge bar then visit Nul in pocket d for a quick switch to rogue then back to hero then wrap the final Dayjobs the alt needs..

Note:. Though it now only takes 100 hours to get each one, it seems they still need 21 days to max out the charge time.

Also....I still feel the old hate from the old days for these badges. Never did like these badges at all but at least you can get them a bit faster now
