Trying to resurrect this... anything up to date after the sonic nerfs?

I'm curious about this too. Thinking of rolling a Defender and my options are Sonic/Sonic or Kin/Sonic. I like the idea of pure sonic more, but it seems like people like kinetics as a primary more.

I'd be curious about this build too. Trying to decide between Kinetic/Sonic or Sonic/Sonic myself. Pure Sonic looks a little more fun, but it seems like Kin/Sonic gets more love in game.

Having trouble deciding what the best archetype works best with this combination. I'm leaning towards brute, but: Brute seems to be the best all-rounder of resists + DPS-- Tanker seems to have slightly better resists than the brute, but has the lowest DPS numbers per the minmax pylon thread-- Stalker has the best solo DPS numbers per the minmax pylon thread, but obviously squishy-- Scrapper also does decent solo damage, but similarly squishy. Thoughts? I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to builds, this is all based on reading on the forums, mostly from @Hyperstrike and @Infinitum. Any help is appreciated!

It's mostly that I see a ton of Super Strength builds and a decent amount of Dark Melee by comparison. Is the weaker AoE noticable, or mitigated enough by Incarnate abilities? Super Strength seems like the clear winner, but also just so... boring.

Looking at the stats it seems like Invulnerability / Energy Melee would make a great tanker, but I hardly see any builds on here and not many out in the wild. Do they secretly suck, or am I just not looking in the right place? I'd love to roll one.

Did Torchbearer lose a lot of active players? When the game picked back up it seemed like this was going to be the "main" server. Judging by the number of forum posts it seems like the others are more popular. Do the others have more players because they have a specific unofficial niche (like the EU/roleplaying servers)?

Interesting. Have you tried AV/GM killing with this bad boy or is it mostly for mobs and story gameplay? I'm wondering if I'd need two separate builds to accomplish that.

Are the titles and powers account-wide or per character?

Would you assume this is a better all-rounder than a scrapper with the same moveset?

I'd be curious how a Spines/Bio would do as a brute/scrapper/stalker. Combed the forums and didn't see anything. Is scrapper considered the go-to for bio because of damage? Or does brute win out due to survivability?

Anyone have a Spines/Bio DPS monster build available? Interested in a brute version, too, but scrappers seem to pack a little more punch.

Having trouble getting used to a troller. What's your attack chain? Are there powers on here that are just enhancement mules or do you use pretty much everything?
