  1. But that’s not how IOs work, they always come in sets.
  2. So to be clear: you are proposing an IO be created that impacts 1 power in 1 power set. What set should it go in?
  3. Definitely a Warshade SHOULD be competitive with a Brute for grabbing initial aggro. To be honest, I think people's comments have addressed my concerns. It's all good.
  4. That’s a good point. Maybe I can help him out by adjusting my tactics slightly...
  5. Some folks seem not to understand the complaint. I'm not saying I'm having trouble Stealthing content on a Brute or a Tank. The problem came up when I was duoing on my Warshade with my friend on his Brute (Energy Aura) and he had a lot of trouble grabbing aggro before my pet or I.
  6. No, it does not solve the problem.
  7. That’s a fair point. I just think on tank classes it’s important their powers not hurt their performance of their role. This might be a lot to ask but... maybe there could be an option to turn off aura suppression added to Null the Gull?
  8. If you turn on an actual Stealth power like those in the Dark Armor or Energy Aura sets your Taunt aura suppresses until you attack.
  9. ...was not really such a great idea. It USED to be people complained "Tanks shouldn't take Stealth" but it was nonsense because their Auras took care of aggro. NOW it really is a problem. This was a mistake that is nice for people stealthing through content but is BAD for Brutes and Tankers actually trying to do their team role. EDIT: Maybe an option to turn off Aura Suppression could be added to Null the Gull?
  10. In PvP zones the Base Teleporter sound effects are not properly aligned with the visual effects when using a Custom Colorization. This appears to be essentially the same error that is happening with Mission Teleporter, also when using custom colors.
  11. Not arguing with you, @Ukase, just wanted to point out, for peoples information, at Sell it now prices rare salvage is now around 350k and converters are about 60k.
  12. Unfortunately they do not, yet, have the technology in game to do this. The best we've got so far is teleport abilities such as Fold Space. It's a cool idea, although I think it would clearly make more sense for Water Blast>Whirlpool to do that than Storm Summoning>Hurricane.
  13. I've GOT IT. THE SOLUTION: An IO that removes the effect that repels the enemies from you the caster and instead makes it repel YOU away from the enemies!
  14. Yes, you CAN run into melee and turn on Hurricane. Even *I* might be tempted to kick you if that's your playstyle.
  15. I will make one more attempt, though not with much hope. Hurricane is one of a very, very few powers in the game that require actual player skill and thought. What you are asking for is a way to make it not require those things. You want to be able to just turn it on and then ignore it. Basically you just want it to be an armor toggle. Well, sorry, but the way the power works is that it has advantages and disadvantages AND disadvantages that can be TURNED INTO advantages by MOVING at the right time and in the right place. The level of skill required is NOT very high, but considering that most of this game requires NO player skill at all, that's still a big increase.
  16. I'm sorry you are unable to understand what I've said. Have a good one.
  17. The repel effect of Hurricane does NOT inherently scatter mobs. The fact you keep repeating that indicates you are using it wrong. The repel effect pushes mobs away from YOU the caster. So, if you are in the MIDDLE of a group when you use it, then yes it will scatter mobs. If you use it from ONE SIDE of the group, and even better if you move back and forth on that side, it will push the whole group all in one direction.
  18. Here is the original guide that taught me how to play Storm Summoning: https://web.archive.org/web/20120905001549/http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=114584 Obviously some things in this guide are out of date, but not the explanations of technique.
  19. So the trick is to keep moving. They will scatter if you stay in one place unless they’re pinned by walls, yes. If you move Around them you can keep whole groups contained.
  20. You’re doing it wrong. The power can be used to contain enemies in an area. If you’re scattering then you’re doing it wrong.
  21. Again, if such an enhancement were added to the game, “removes the repel from hurricane”, that enhancement would also cut the minus range and minus to hit debuffs in like half at least.
  22. If they remove the repel, or added an enhancement to remove the repel, they would also lower the Debuff amount. If you don’t believe me, look at Time.
  23. If you’re running a farm you have absolutely no justification for asking for any sort of compensation whatsoever. Everyone else there is also playing the game. If most of them are door sitters and not helping you, that’s your fault!
  24. It’s winds around you. There is no realm in which it makes sense for such a power to not move the enemies. It’s the whole concept of the power.
  25. Well that was a lot of text. In fact, if you are scattering with hurricane then the problem is you not hurricane. People who know how to use hurricane properly in fact do herd with hurricane.
