  1. I saw something like this happening on a Dark Blast Sentinel I just made. The Gloom animation seems to switch back and forth between original and alternate.
  2. That's for the base damage and "bruising" effect. For the inherent, a lot of ideas have been tossed around, several by myself...right now I'm thinking about this idea (I have no idea if this is possible): Opportunity - Inherent Timed Toggle Single Target 25% Def and Res Debuff. 0 Activation Time.   3. so, for me I was on a Radiation/Fire Tanker, my friend was on his Beasts/Cold Mastermind. It appeared to both of us that they weren't moving on either me or his pets. You can see in the photo what level we were and what toggles I was running, but even if there was some weird interaction there that wouldn't impact the pets you would think. What AT cast those on you?
  4. The icy rocks are supposed to circle around, right? Well, they aren't, they're just spinning in place.
  5. Even just changing the 5% -Res on all attacks to 1.0 base damage would help considerably, imo. It wouldn't address the clunkiness of the inherent, but it would improve burst and "feel" a bit better.
  6. Anyone dying enough for this to be the case is experiencing a player issue. Even Blasters are now tough enough that this shouldn’t come up much in team situations.
  7. I don’t agree at all. Most ATs are actually pretty well balanced (not talking about individual powersets).
  8. Solo performance has very little, if any, bearing on these discussions. Everybody acknowledges that sentinels are fine solo. The issue is that they do not contribute enough to a team compared to other archetypes.
  9. Unless you have taunts, higher hit points are not something you’re contributing to the team. Survivability is a nice bonus for you personally but unless you are using it to provide safety for the team it’s only a small bonus in the team environment. So while I agree that sentinels should remain the lowest of the four, they should be in the same range.
  10. Yes. We’re not saying they should do the same damage as scrappers, we’re saying they should do more damage than they currently do.
  11. That’s called a “trap” character. They should not be like that. That’s exactly the complaint.
  12. I just compared the numbers in a few Sentinel primaries with the numbers for the Scrappers Katana primary, and honestly, power for power, they look fine. This leads me to believe the problem lies mainly in the inherent.
  13. Just to be clear, I don't think Sentinels are "trash", just like I didn't think Blasters, Dominators, Stalkers, or anyone else was "trash" before they got their boosts. I just think there's room for improvement without stepping on anyone's toes.
  14. Well there is a very specific reason to go in there at level one, and that is to get the Ouroboros portal if you want to without help from anyone. I’m not saying that the zone is full of content, I’m just saying that stating that it is level locked is factually incorrect.
  15. I've suggested elsewhere a way to do Crits to make it distinct from Scrapper/Stalker/Corrupter that will help with lead off burst damage: High Crit chance on mobs with 90% or higher health. Once enemy health is below 90%, Sentinel Crit chance drops off quickly.

  21. While that’s true, it’s clear to me at this point the difference isn’t enough to justify the disparity. On a team with a Kin and a FF the Blaster is safe in Melee.
  22. I think the changes to Blaster secondaries both in i24 and in HC have made them sufficiently tough that Sentinel damage can be justifiably raised.
  23. I don’t think it’s really one of the major problems, but I also wouldn’t be shocked if accessing email during combat was disallowed.
