Actually, a few of my power customization files are giving me trouble. The ones I have for an Ice/Rad tank and a DP/Dev blaster are both not loading properly and I had to set them up all over again and save the files anew. So it's not just you.

Is this a good place to report bugs? (If not, can someone show me where?) For whatever reason my Rad Melee character is getting Radiation Siphon to pull from dark colors, even when on "bright." It's the only power in the set that does that. You can see the proper palette on the right. I got someone else to confirm that it was doing this for them. This patch also seems to have destroyed several of my power customization files. This character (Ice/Rad tank) and another (DP/Dev blaster) I had to set up from scratch, their saved customization files were just blanking everything out. Oh! Another issue I'm having, unrelated but on the same character. Using "slide" as your default stance seems to mess with flying animations fairly often. With both Hover and Fly, mostly when strafing.

Bug with the new stance stuff, you can break the passive stance so it stops functioning. Reproduce like this: * Set your passive stance to something else, like Slide * Force change your stance by turning on something like NR * Zone * You're now stuck in normal stance after you turn off NR (zoning again seems to fix it)

I had to read the travel powers change multiple times to make sure it was saying what I thought it said. I definitely don't agree with that change at all. The movement speed benefit of those powers is supposed to be a perk, not the primary purpose of the power. They aren't "travel powers" and shouldn't be incompatible with other things like Ninja Run. If anything those were fun reasons to take those sets, because you could combine them and get around without taking a real travel power (like Kinetics or some classes with Quickness can), even if a real travel power would still be better. And it's not like running/jumping better outside of combat is any threat to game balance. I would ask you to reconsider that one for sure. -
My feedback for this arc can be summed up as, it should be a Task Force. It's much, much too hard for a story arc. Set expectations for the player. If not a Task Force, it should be very clear about telling you up front to what the score is. It has 4 different EB fights and multiple bosses. Two of the EBs heal to full as you fight them, even multiple times. Ambushes happen during boss and EB fights. Sometimes in big crowds of multiple at once. EBs have defense toggles (RttC) or self-buff powers (Sonic Dispersion) making them that much harder to kill and/or impossible to mez. It's simply tuned way too high for a story arc. I get that maybe you (yes you, the person reading this right now who is thinking of replying) can finish it with your high-end IOed Brute or Tanker build and think it's easy, but for a level 29 story arc you can just stumble into with some SOs slotted? Nah. I don't even want to play the villain version at this rate if it's more of the same. As far as more specific feedback: * The ideas overall are good, I like the new units and I don't think I've seen some of these maps before? So that's cool. Vahzilok and Freaks deserve each other. * I don't get what's up with all the travel. This is 2020 right? We can all agree pointless travel is pointless? You're just wasting the player's time. I heard some people say you get less of it if you answer questions well. So the punishment is to make it take longer to get around? Having to do an extra mission I could understand, at least you get exp for that. But just... making it take longer? Why? You do want people to play your content, don't you? Reward them with a badge for guessing right, let them skip a mission, make the next mission easier somehow. But don't waste their time. * That map with the fog has lots of problems. Namely, it's hard to see so it's hard to navigate, which gets worse when there's fire everywhere. It's hard to tell where you're supposed to be going near the end (there's just a marker in a place that's not helpful). The fire does WAY too much damage for some reason? Like it literally took off huge chunks of my HP in a second, and just dashing through it a couple times nearly killed me. There's a lot of text happening near the end and I got a badge for picking some option (at random) but hey, players can't read through several pages of text while they're being ambushed/on fire/less than a minute left on the clock. Make it succinct. Oh and the multiple waves of ambushes while you try to click a glowie with a 30 second activation time? You knew what you were doing. * And the difficulty again. Seriously. Too many ambushes. Too many EBs. Not every fight needs to be an epic last stand against waves of enemies and an EB that keeps regenerating to full HP, requiring you to kill him 4 times. Or if it does, make it a Task Force so people know to bring 7 friends. I had some other comments, like the huge crowds in some of the maps, but it looks like everything else has been commented on by other people and is set to be changed/fixed.

Combat Teleport is extremely cool. Though I'm curious if the ToHit buff is supposed to stack. Seems like an easy way to get a +20% to +30% ToHit on command -

Occasionally having a bug with Total Focus using its old (slower) animation instead of the new one. It seems to happen sporadically when I'm flying/hovering, especially when doing a flyby. -

Getting a weird bug on my newly made archery/nin blaster. While Shinobi is toggled on she frequently gets interrupted by the present opening animation out of nowhere, which roots her in place. It only happens while Shinobi is on. It was happening every time I trained up at Ms Liberty. Other people saw me opening presents so it wasn't just on my end. And while I'm at it I also support giving Shinobi a move speed component. It's thematic and move buffs are harmless. -
As far as I can tell, some glove options are missing when asymmetrical. At the very least, Talons and Awakened that I was able to find. As you can see, it's hard to tell precisely which ones are missing, because they're not in the same order. I'd have to manually check every single one and compare both lists. But these three at the very least were missing.

As far as MMs go: * The reason the pet wouldn't take pet sets is because it doesn't do any damage. Nearly all of the enhancements in the sets wouldn't do anything, so it wouldn't make sense for it to take those sets. The added utility an MM might get out of having another power to slot pet IOs into is eliminated. So really we're just comparing having a pet that uses Discharge to using it yourself. * The new endurance costs are a bit oof, but that's normal for MMs and I'm pretty used to it as a primarily MM player. This makes Energizing Circuit a lot more valuable at least. Discharge is in fact a loooot of endurance, but it's certainly manageable. Certainly not like some of those 60 endurance rez powers or 40 end lightning storm. * I saw a lot of discussion on Discharge vs pet. My opinion? I like Discharge. It's good to pull with. And it's a good debuff to help keep pets from dying. And with Shock I can drop a -33% damage on a boss when and where I want. It's true the pet uses the same power, but he uses it randomly and may end up wasting it on a single target. And his version has a static recharge time that can't be boosted. And our version is stronger than what the pet uses. I still kind of wish these powers (Shock included) did more, like -RES or -DEF, but this is all right. There's certainly some utility to having more pets as an MM. I've played necro/dark, thugs/traps, bots/traps, demons/thermal, (and beast/nature but that doesn't have more pets) to 50, several of those more than once. Necro/dark at least 3 times. Extra pets can add things like more damage, a target that pulls aggro, useful extra mez/debuffs/healing, or an extra power to put IOs into. But critically the sentinel provides... basically none of those things. It just quietly uses a non-damaging debuff power that you get yourself (and better) otherwise. At most I could see using it to alpha by dropping it near some enemies. But that's fairly niche. You can't easily replace the utility of a dark servant, a necro ghost or two that use holds, a bunch of thugs that draw aggro, or the myriad of traps pets that do all kinds of interesting things. Buuuut the sentinel pet is obviously mostly just there to give you a target to bounce powers off of. Since MMs don't need that, the actual utility it offers is minimal. So I'd rather have Discharge. That's just my 2 influence though. Also I just died due to overaggro because I wasn't paying attention while typing this. Whoops. -

It's not a "free speech" issue, and the team already cracks down on reprehensible content, so nobody is asking for anything radical or new here. Offensive and copyrighted names are already disallowed. We're not one of those "totally free" servers where every name is a racial slur. The only question is if this current issue meets that criteria, which I would say it does, considering lots of people have died and will die.

I set up a level 28 beast/elec MM to try some things out. I only used common (level 25) IOs and two of the pet uniques (for RES and DEF). Here are my thoughts: 1) Galvanic Sentinel feels useless for an MM, and ultimately I skipped it. This may just be a uniquely MM problem of course, but MMs have tons of pets to bounce powers off of starting at level 1. I think I'd feel happier if MMs just had the power the sentinel uses (Discharge). Being able to use it at will, where you want, would feel more useful to me. For MM at least. There's precedent for sets being slightly different across ATs like this, Darkness Affinity for controllers being the best example, but the tier 9 power for Traps is also uniquely changed for MMs as another. 2) Energizing Circuit is okay, but I feel like it's not as useful for an MM. MM pets usually don't run out of endurance, and the +recharge buff doesn't work on them at all. I put this power off for a while, and I mostly just used it to refill my own endurance, though my dire wolf did occasionally need it. Useful but... could be better. 3) Insulating Circuit comes waaaaaaaaaay too late in set. This was kind of an issue on Defender but it's much more noticeable on other ATs where it doesn't come until 35. As an absorb power, I'd consider it one of the basic "keep people alive" powers in the set. Most other sets get all those powers on the table by about level 16-20. Time and Pain are some of the latest those comes at (28 for Farsight and World of Pain). So I think IC needs to be bumped up at least 1 tier, if not 2. Energizing Circuit and Defribrillate are two powers I wouldn't mind seeing moved down if it meant I could put absorb on people (pets) earlier. 4) Can I just point out that two of the powers are abbreviated "EC" and that could be cleared up so referring to powers is slightly less confusing? Positive feedback... 1) Overall the set feels solid on MM. Pets are fairly durable thanks to the +RES and they don't get thrown around a lot, which is a fairly unique bonus for a support set. The +damage is also useful, and I didn't have trouble keeping my pets alive even when I accidentally got more than one group. 2) Shock feels good as something for my MM to do. I have less powers to use so it feels useful to pick out tougher guys and lower their damage. Having Discharge like I mentioned above would be nice. 3) I thought the target cap would be an issue, but with how chaining works now, it's trivial to get at least one stack of Static which lets a power hit all your pets and you. So I didn't mind this at all. Targeting through badguys even worked for me most of the time (since they're usually attacking a pet), so I didn't even feel the need to switch targets often. 4) The duration on EC (see? You don't know which one I mean) feels much nicer, I don't feel the need to spam it to upkeep the damage buff anymore. Set is feeling good overall, keep up the good work!

Not true at all, no powers consume Static anymore. Another bit of feedback: Faraday Cage is still quite noisy. Considering it's meant to be up basically all the time, it would be nice if the audio was much lower (or entirely gone). -

Small bug for Galvanic Sentinel. When doing right click - Info - detailed info (or looking at detailed info in enhancements), there's no information about what power the pet uses. Normally when you view any other pet, you can see what powers they have and what they use. That gives you a better impression of what's worth slotting in them. As-is, I'm not sure what I should put in the pet, if anything. -
This might be a low importance thing, but like... Carrion Creepers used to shriek, right? I'm not just imagining that? I feel like I recall on live that they'd be silent if recolored, but now they're silent all the time, no matter what settings I use (even opting to not use colors on the whole set). Did some change make it so they don't make noise? Because I miss that part!

I mean, that was kind of my original feedback. Building Static is a hassle, there's nothing I really want to spend it on, and the set is weak if it has low Static and can only hit a couple targets. My first option would just be to drop it entirely. The set doesn't NEED it. -

I said before that I don't like Static as a resource because it feels like you're constantly chasing it just to make your powers good, making the set spammy. I still mostly believe that, although I did have a thought that might make Static less annoying and more unique. I noticed it already lasts longer than most similar stacking bonuses, so what if it just lasted forever until used? Or at least something like "10 minutes or until you zone." That way I don't have to constantly work to keep it up, and I can simply discharge it when I want to use it for a specific effect. Just food for thought. -

Okay, just did some testing with a few people (up to 5 at one point) in PI radios fighting all kinds of baddies. So we had time to test more stuff and get a feel for the set. I'm going to go through all the powers and basically just break down everything I feel and think. Some of it might be crazy or controversial, who knows. * SHOCK. I don't really have many problems with this power, but it could be better. It does have a good -DMG debuff. It's reasonably comparable to other t1 powers like Infrigidate and Corrosive Enzymes. However, I think it's weaker than both of those. Both of those have strong numbers and the whole debuff is useful (-DMG/-DEF or -RES/-DMG). And Infrigidate's -DMG is higher. I don't think the rather small (even slotted to +95%) -END is as good. It'd take 3 or more applications to fully drain a minion, and by that time the guy is definitely dead. Maybe if it did -regen, -DEF, -RES, or something else? Though it does also build Static so that's something. * REJUVENATING CIRCUIT. This power is fine, I don't really have anything to say about it. I'm okay with it and how it works. * GALVANIC SENTINEL. Okay, I do have several problems here. Besides the stuff I said above about how names don't stick, I found that in a team setting I just stopped using it. It seems great for solo or small teams, but the hassle of having to resummon it constantly is a real distraction. Even spending Static on it to extend the duration just feels bad, because I'm spending all my time building Static just so I don't have to summon the pet as often. I would MUCH rather it just last forever, with a longer recharge. Alternatively it could just be like Dark Servant where you only have to resummon it every 4 minutes or so. Having to click it every 30 seconds? I get to a point where I don't feel like it. What it provides other than a target to bounce things off (which isn't needed once you're not solo) just isn't worth that much effort. * ENERGIZING CIRCUIT. This power is good, though I'm not sure it needs to be tier 4. Something comparable like Speed Boost is tier 6. Though I guess AM is tier 3. * FARADAY CAGE. Love this power, nothing I really want to see changed about it. Since the bug with the +RES is fixed, it's probably great. * EMPOWERING CIRCUIT. First off, small 'probably doesn't matter' comment here, it has the same acronym as Energizing Circuit (EC) so when we were discussing powers in chat we were tripping over some of the names. Anyway. I don't like this power. I feel like it should work more like Fortitude or Forge. It recharges in 15s base and only lasts 25s. This leads to me using it constantly. All the time. Every few seconds. Because I feel like I'm wasting it if I don't. Reflexively, I want this to be a power that I use every minute or so, not every 5 seconds. It chains and can hit multiple people, so maybe it could have a base recharge time of 120 or even 240? And obviously it should last more like 90s, not 25s. This is one of the powers that contributes to the overall "oh man I have to spam powers as fast as I can" problem that I'll touch on more below. Also final note, while testing it seemed like this power wouldn't stack from multiple casters? It was hard to confirm but maybe it should be checked. * DEFIBRILLATE. Love this power, love the animation, no complaints here. * INSULATING CIRCUIT. This power is good. Maybe too good, if I'm being honest? It's a lot of absorb you can spam on a really short timer. I can give almost half of my max HP as absorb every 6 seconds? Really? Dang. Maybe it should have a longer recharge. I think the only real comparable power to this one is Wild Bastion, and that starts at 240s. This has less benefits and hits fewer targets, so maybe 60s? 120s? 15s is really short. And of course this also contributes to the spammy playstyle the set has. * AMP UP. I like this power. I don't think the benefit stacks from multiple casters? But I suppose that's okay. * STATIC. Okay, this might be the most controversial opinion I have. Does this set even need a mechanic like this? Static only does a few things. One is make the pet last longer which, like I said, just isn't fun or rewarding and probably shouldn't need to be done in the first place. It boosts the rez which, okay neat but how often are you using that? It boosts Amp Up which is probably the one place you'd want to actually spend it. And it ups how many targets your powers chain to, which... okay let's talk about this. Your powers constantly changing how many targets they can hit? Not fun. It's confusing, it's hard to keep track of, and it's unreliable. I don't like having to check my Static to think about how many people I can heal. Other support sets don't have to deal with that. It's like a tax on the set. And leaves me feeling like I need to spam powers to keep my Static up. This resulted in me using powers I don't really need to use, just to gain Static. Just in case I need it. And that didn't leave me much time to use my blast powers. As a heal/suport set, I felt like I was lagging behind and needed to work especially hard just so I could actually conceivably heal the whole team if I need to. The fact that the whole set has tons of powers that don't last very long, and recharge very fast, means I have tons of powers I can use all the time. And you need to keep your Static up, so of course you use powers fast. It becomes very spammy very fast. Using a heal even when people are full on HP. Using Shock on a minion for no reason other than you want Static. As-is, it's a very demanding set, leaving you little time to use your secondary set. Or you just end up ignoring a lot of your powers, which isn't really better. That said, I like the set! I actually do. I know I was pretty hard on it, but it just needs some improvements. It's very unique, I like Faraday Cage, I like the idea of having a pet, I like the unique buffs it gives like Amp Up. But there are certain aspects that are a bit much to deal with, and I feel like I'm constantly struggling to catch up to where basically any other support set would be. Whew, I think that's everything. Feel free to tell me how wrong I am about everything. Thanks!
