  1. I'm very glad they finally added Absorption to Combat Attributes. Now...how do you read it? I mean, Regeneration Rate and Recovery Rate show hp/sec and end/sec respectively. Absorption just gives me a number...and it seems to be constantly changing. For some minor clarity, I have a Psychic Blast/Temporal Manipulation Blaster. Under Absorption points there is a sub-heading that shows Temporal Healing multiple times. And it bounces around showing from 3 - 6 times.
  2. What kind of tool/application do you use to modify these texture files? specifically costume textures? I wouldn't mind trying my hand at it.
  3. 52 views. no comments. I thought for sure there might be some tweaks. all good tho. I'll pull the trigger and build. see how it does.
  4. I hit 50 a couple of weeks ago. Been sitting there mulling over my build. I know it can be tightened up a little. I have overages on most of the resistances. Not sure where to "prune" to make this a better build. I'm close, but could use some advice/help. I may be too close to the problem...as it were. Things to improve? Defenses Dark Regen Recharge time (19 seconds good enough?) Energy Resistance (not sure this can be done efficiently) Best Incarnate choices for Dark/Dark? I think I have the Recovery issues under control...I think. On another note, what's the best way to port over the Mid's build? What selections should be chosen in Mid's under Import/Export? 5. This actually works out for me. Even on a Brute I tend to use only the first couple of attacks (faster recharge) for a long time.
  6. hmmmm. How does SR/Stj play as a Tank...say over a Scrapper?
  7. All good info. ATO's are another thing I need to do research on. I understand that Tanks have some good ones (over Brutes anyway).
  8. SS/Shield Brute Rad/Rad Brute a bunch of different primaries (MA/BA/DB/SS) with Willpower secondary Spines/Inv and DM/Inv and I have 3 */Stone Armor Brutes that are more concept characters than anything else. I solo with these about 90% of the time Stj/SR and BS/Shield that I'm contemplating changing over to maybe a Scrapper(?) I'm always up for learning something new tho. If some of these are better on Brutes, let me know!!
  9. OK. This 90/90 thing sounds great actually! That seems right up my alley. No self-loathing will be had. I would be happy to do it over again if it were for a good purpose...which this sounds like it is. Some things I was thinking about after creating the post. I understand that any power that creates a "pet", will do more damage as a Tank since has the higher base number for damage. I think the number was higher before the "upgrade", but does more damage now. So there's that.
  10. Back on Live I was mostly a Tank guy. I had a Brute or two. With the reincarnation of CoH, I built a few Tanks, but mostly built Brutes. I wanted the ability to do a little more damage. With the recent "upgrade" of Tanks, I'm thinking of re-rolling some of my Brutes into Tanks. Wise decision? Or no? Some caveats: My game starts at lvl 1 and goes to 50. So I don't really care about what Incarnate stuff can do for me after 50. After 50 is a different game for me. Also, I'm a "fortification" kind of guy. Even on Brutes I would try to make the most of defense/resistances. I know Brutes have the same cap as a Tank, but it seems like a lot more work to get them there. I have no idea what kind of sacrifices need to made for this. Lastly, i solo 50% of the time. The rest is usually running with my small Supergroup. Before the "upgrade" it was painful to lvl up a Tank...early on anyway. So, are there any numbers guys/gals out there who can tell me what the dps numbers look like after the "upgrade"? Still painful to lvl up Tanks solo? Can Tanks solo an AV or a GM? Am I crazy to re-roll some of my Brutes to Tanks? I'll probably have more questions when I can think of them.
  11. Is Frostwork any good? Does it help Jack Frost any? I will certainly consider Glacier...maybe later in the build tho.
  12. So I just hit level 30 on my Ice/Cold Domination Controller. This is mostly (99%) a team character. Rarely solo, tho Jack Frost may change that some. I have a couple of options to pick from. What would make the biggest impact? On teams, and on Jack Frost? I'm considering Either starting the Leadership pool, Frostwork, Snow Storm and/or Glacier. So far Glacier is in last place due to the long recharge and short duration.
  13. I thought it might be you guys. I ran F R O S T B R A N D. Also...I don't think it was a 40 minute run. I think it was like 24 minutes. I've done several the past couple of days, so I could be mistaken. I know it was really, really fast!!
  14. I was on a Yin TF this Tuesday (think it was Tuesday). There were like 4 or 5 Plant/* Controllers (maybe one was a Dom). They just wrecked it! A planter juggernaut!! I thought they may have been from this group. I wasn't on my Plant/Nature for this. Wish I had been.
  15. Can confirm. mobs are running out of Burn patch like nobody's business.
  16. I may take you up on that offer. Sounds like a lot of fun. "lil Fey" is my Plant/Nature.
  17. I had a Plant/Storm on Live. When Nature's Affinity came out, I wanted to try that combo, but never got around to it before "sunset" hit. Now that we are back, I recreated the character with Plant/Nature's Affinity. Great combo. This weekend, I "Tanked" the Citadel TF with this character with my SG (all 4 of us). I was lvl 36 (exempted down to TF). It's just that good of a combo! The Council and Vandal didn't stand a chance.
  18. Interesting about Acc. I see in Mid's you can slot an Acc IO, but I don't see that you can use an Accurate Healing set. Strange.
  19. What's the "best practice" slotting for this power? Healing sets? Recovery sets? half-and-half?
  20. Had me going. What happened to Posi pt2 and Synapse?
