    I've had a Fire/Storm controller for some time on HC, and for a very long time he was making use of Leviathan for the water spout and coralax pet. I have recently swapped to earth mastery and not really noticed much difference in clear speeds or general safety so I guess its purely just a different playstyle accent on the same concept. I picked up TP in this current spec but I did used to have sorcery and proc-enflame to put on bosses etc. This is my current build!     Being 69 years old is no excuse to not learn something new. Either way, play however you want I guess?

    I refuse to play my PB too much because I want to love my WS (despite how much it frustrates me for all the same reasons you mentioned). The concept of feeding off death is so cool, but the resulting feast and famine gameplay can get wearing at times.

    I thought the heal was a global proc?

    I have never noticed it not spawning if I select an appropriate body. there are always times it won't spawn when i select an inappropriate body, such as one that I know I defeated some time ago (risk of disappearing) or one that despawns on death like ghosts. I guess its just one of those things that you need to keep a track of when you see its cooldown coming back up. If you are in the middle of a spawn you can be sure there'll be a fresh dead body soon otherwise be careful!

    Good that you tested, if you don't like it then that's cool too. we just got different ways of piloting the same ship right? 🙂 This is my current set up just so you can see what im basing my style off: I have enough accuracy in sunless mire that it will be my reliable opening buff (assuming no eclipse, which will go first instead) Then I can hit mire to boost my next 3 hit AOE rotation (and -res the $targets) then its DNE>DND>GE changeling style which all hit back to back to back super quick. Its then just mopping up bosses really.

    I run a changeling with a 6 damage proc gravitic shotgun. I personally don't see any benefit to slotting it for stun duration since your goal is to blow them all up as quick as you possibly can. base recharge with the occasional FF +rech proc per mob, GE is up at the beginning of every spawn. With 6x procs (90% chance of firing) you have a power that does roughly 400 damage to each person hit. that vs just a stun that you can eventually mez a boss with, just doesnt seem so attractive. just 6 slot it for damage procs and blow up people

    I would mirror Lauci here on going PB first. They are self contained and therefore (IMO) easier to pilot. Once you got the fundamentals down, you can try a 'Shade and come join the dark side 😈 On slotting : use the money you have to fund the important global procs as attuned variants so you can slot them early as possible. Use your spare influence to make more influence. some more reading for you

    slotting for carrion creepers should be all 3 TAoE procs and the immob proc. Then ACC/DAM/RECH to achieve it perma with hasten. Think mine is something like Rag triple +5 and something else I cannot recall. Probably Winter set triple catalysed
