  2. It helps a lot if you do not have a lot of recharge which is mostly early leveling. Once you do it helps a lot less.
  3. And you can get there without Hasten. But I guess you do not care about other peoples opinion and just want to continue reaffirming your own.
  4. The thing is that Fulcrum Shift has a very short CD of 1 minute. Which means you can quickly get it to a CD where Hasten has such a little effect that is nigh unnoticable. If you think there is a major difference between 30 and 33 seconds CD... well I guess we have to agree to disagree. Hell even on my Grav/Time controller I opted out of Hasten because I can get to perma Farsight anyway and my uptime of Chrono Shift is about 75% which Hasten would only marginally improve considering the recharge I am already sitting so the benefit is very dubious. That despite me being far from finished slotting sets. I can still tickle out quite a bit more if I get stuff like FF procs in.

  7. Either you have a short memory or you are disingenuous. In my first reply here I wrote: "How much does Hasten add to /kin? It seems to me due to access to Siphon Speed that Hasten seems rather skippable." I never asked if I should take it into MY build. I questioned whether Hasten actually adds all that much to /kin and for good reason. My now lvl 46 Grav/Kin has not been using Hasten for the past 3 levels both solo and in TFs and the difference is somewhat noticeable but not so much that I feel that is really needed and I do not have any IOs. Part of that is because /kin CDs are fairly low baseline to begin with, with Fulcrum Speed having only a 60 second CD baseline. Compare that to /time where both Chrono Shiftt and Farsight being at iirc 4 minutes.
  8. I am sure shaving 2-3 seconds off from Fireball totally makes or breaks the build. /s
  9. If the CD drops below attack animation speed the extra recharge rate becomes pointless. It is not like it is hard to get decent recharge reduction from just slots and Siphon Speed.

  12. I did not want to create a new topic for my question regarding my one and only stalker atm so I will just continue to use this thread I made. I have been slowly alting her to lvl 46 so I am closing in on 50 now. Done 2 respecs and am fairly happy with the current result. I left out in my primary T1, Placate and Boggle. Secondary I left out Disrupt and T9 because I simply do not see how to handle the crash in case the fight goes on more than 3 minutes and only using it in hope that the crash won't happen after a fight is not my cup of tea. Furthermore I got: Fighting: Kick with the usual Tough and Weave will be taken at 47. Leaping: Combat Jumping Force of Will: WR, Leap and Unleash. WM: PP, Drone and Explo Shuriken. I got staggering 61.7% AoE def and about 33-34% in most other defences except toxic and PSI. I am confident that I can soft cap most of my defences with just IOs of which I have just 1 piece of the Performance Shifter set atm. Those numbers are also without Weave and Unleash which cannot be permad anyway though I got the recharge down to 5 minutes. Furthermore I do have a full Assassins Mark in TK Punch and 3 part Guile ATO in Blade. So the question is what to get for my final power. I am a little partial for Shuriken but mostly for style I do not think I will rely too much on ranged damage. Web grenade is handy against annoying fliers and to nail runners. Wall of Force for a little more AoE and unreliable CC. What do you guys think?

  14. Thanks to your input I was able to get my ranged defences up to 43% and the rest to 40% defence except toxic which sits at a sad 12%. S/L resistance is at 41% and hope I can push it a little more without sacrificing too much, or even anything. I am still mostly on SOs with only the two suggested Gladiator and Steadfast in Temp Invul. I got the full Will of the Controller set atm in Crushing Field though that is just an intermediate solution. As to Incarnates I am currently running Agility T3, Barrier/Ageless T3, Hybrid Control T3, Diamagnetic T3/Gravitic T1, Lore Drones T2 and Cryonic Judgement T2. Atm I am considering also upping my damage but not sure what is the best route to go. I also want force feedback proc somewhere and improve my -res as well. Maybe there is something else I could get but not sure what I might be overlooking atm. If anyone has some more input I would love to read it. Edit: Right I read somewhere that you can change Singy to knock down instead of knocking back though no idea how.

  16. Well the main reason Dark has superior AoE control is due to the fact that Telekinesis is still crippled since the massive nerfbat from I5.

    Cold/Sonic dom

    Hello, as the title suggest I am currently working on a Cold/Sonic dom which is level 24. My question is what powers are considered in general skippable and which are must haves. Also pondering if I should get the Flame Mastery epic pool, since it seems to offer the most AoE damage and I like the looks of both the self rez, fire shield and the -res power. Am I maybe overestimating the pool?

    I made my Seismic Ninja, the first time I dropped Meteor from stealth I was crying of laughter at the sight of my opponents getting flung half a mile over the map and it will never make me not at least chuckle. Tempted to go all in on recharge just so I can see it more often. I guess Sentinel is better for spamming T9s though but oh well.

  21. Not a fan of any power that is considered "must have" by 99% of builds so I try my best to avoid them. Same goes for Hasten. Ugh wish these powers were reworked in a way to make them not mandatory. Luckily not much elitism in this game, if I were in another MMO people would call me noob for trying to avoid taking powers 99% of the player base uses on 95% of their characters.
  22. I am aware. That does not excuse that the Sledgehammer nerf hit MC more than most other sets. And that Mass Confusion is just about competitive with Seeds is a travesty.
  23. Reduced the amount of targets from 16 down to 5. These days most CCs have a target limit of 16, TK still remains at 5 for no reason whatsoever. Increased CD and reduced duration. TK was hit with a nerf sledgehammer. TK was and still is the only reliable way to set up containment for AoE on a MC. Hypnosis only works for one ability and Total Domination just takes too long to recharge. TK was also not the only power that was nerfed, 5 out of its 9 powers had their Recharge doubled and duration halved. There is a reason why TK is routinely skipped by basically every player.
  24. Issue 5 unfairly nerfed MC brutally and Plant was a mastery that was sold for money. It is not hard to realize why the free mastery was treated like this compared to the money maker. It is a little disappointing that HC team has yet to at least somewhat undo the nerfs to MC and TK.
