Sure. I mentioned that upthread. But even if you do .01% of the enemy's health you get 75% of the XP.

For a Mind/Psi Dominator that's throwing down the confuse then following it up with a Psychic Scream, then twiddling your thumbs while they murder each other.

I know.. sorry for duplicating your information 🙂

I think at the very least the amount should be tweaked so only 1 to 5% of the critters damage is counted. Also the recharge of mass confusion needs to be looked at. If the other controller/dominator get pets that are perma, then mass confusion needs to be on a recharge to make it an every spawn power. It's not like mind control will be soloing the LRSF or some incarnate trial. Make it recharge faster than plants seeds. I know the argument is seeds can cause aggro. So what that is a moot point if their confused and soon to be dead.

I can agree that it could have it's recharge lowered... But not below Seeds of Confusion. Drop it to120 and that'd work just fine. And definitely don't reduce the XP share -that- low. MAYBE down to 20%, but beyond that... no way.

Seeds of Confusion has a low recharge rate for 2 reasons

1) Aggro

2) No second Confuse

Because the set doesn't also have a Single Target Confuse power it can't stack the power for bosses, so an easy perma minion/lt confuse is pretty acceptable by comparison. But Mind Control? It's got the second Confuse Power. So it doesn't -need- fast as hell easily stackable AoE Confusion.

Bringing it down to 120 seconds gives it a nice place in the order of things, though. With a single Set you can increase the duration to 60 seconds and reduce the cooldown to around the same time, meaning you use the AoE Confuse once every few spawns. Those who strive for Permadom could probably get that 120 seconds down to about 30 with a duration of 60.

Seems good to me.

Can we do that for pets too then?

Anyway, I consider the confused as pets, that's why I think the xp penalty is kinda unfair

Considering the confuse is as functional as a hold in preventing an enemy from effecting you, doing damage to a confused mob should IMO cause containment. Pets that control like the singularity (or a confused Frostfire) set up containment for you. Pets themselves aren't normally considered a control.

In live playing a pair of mind/rad controllers I "soloed" (that is I as a single player, playing two characters at the same time) several TFs and Trials intended for full teams. Confuse is incredibly powerful especially when you can double stack it. Bear in mind that these two controllers barely had any sets (certainly only cheap ones). Now that not only could I play with three and I have access to far better IOs... it's only lack of multi-boxing ability that is holding me back... 😄
