Flashtoo Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 @Midnight Blue Mage - the dragon character belongs to Charcoal, idk if you play with him at all. Anyway here's Overgrown - one of my succulents. 2 Character portrait artist for hire, PM for details! Commissions: Closed, Sorry
Flashtoo Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 and for Legend today, a godawful Lugia drawn from memory that doesn't hold a candle to my Parasect. 2 Character portrait artist for hire, PM for details! Commissions: Closed, Sorry

Her Invulnerability has saved her from her own curiosity on more than one occasion 😸 @Flashtoo Nice succulent, and nice legend! Even if it's not as hyper-detailed as Parasect, the style you've employed is very fitting for a Pocket Monster Catching up! Days 13 + 14 1
Darth Delicious Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 I'm so jealous of all the entries here! I had to call quits after Frail. Simply don't have the time 😞 . So here's my last entry. All my Inktober 2019 drawings are in this post too: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/11187-inktober/?do=findComment&comment=109172 Keep it up you guys! I love seeing your entries 😄 4
Flashtoo Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 I called it godawful largely because I got it wrong, lol - feet are the wrong shape, forgot some of the markings, and the fin in the middle of its head is so small as to be nearly nonexistent when it should be larger than the "eyebrow" fins! The Parasect came off much more like "the extra mushrooms are natural individual variations within species" because that was actually intentional... 1 Character portrait artist for hire, PM for details! Christopher Robin Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 (edited) Forgot how hard it is to get a reasonable likeness when you cannot erase a line. Ah well hopefully it looks a tiny bit like him. The internet assures me the thing in the corner is a Poke-something-or-other named Kingdra so... Hail to the KINGDRA BABY! Midnight Blue Mage Posted October 18, 2019 Author Posted October 18, 2019 Beautiful stuff as always <3 melancholy cats, killer strawberries, and benevolent martyrs are what Inktober is all about :D Days 15 + 16 2
Christopher Robin Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 (edited) Everyone seems to be drawing cats so here ya go. Ummm... Misfit? No kitty, no. Flashtoo Posted October 20, 2019 Posted October 20, 2019 well I've failed, skipped a day by accident without the excuse of being sick and tad turned into skipping two days, then three, then four... I'm not going to be able to pick up that steam again. 😕 1 Character portrait artist for hire, PM for details! Commissions: Closed, Sorry
Christopher Robin Posted October 21, 2019 Posted October 21, 2019 (edited) No worries Flash, as the site linked in the OP says it's about consistency and improvement, not perfection.I say just pick any categories that look fun from what's left and skip the rest if you want. If it makes youfeel any better I was out by rule three. I'm not hashtaging anything, I only post it here and I ambarely doing one a week. It's more of an interesting diversion than anything for me. Oh whoops, hang on a sec, that sounded like empathy and absolution... I meant to say... So Long Suckaaaaaaaaaaah! ...nailed it! Midnight Blue Mage Posted October 22, 2019 Author Posted October 22, 2019 @Flashtoo, I'm sorry to hear you've lost momentum :< I totally understand, though I also echo @Christopher Robin's sentiment: Inktober is totally just for fun and to get your hands moving, so the moment it begins to feel like an obligation, I think that's a good time to take a break. If you do continue, I look forward to seeing it, but I am quite content to gawp at all of your other outstanding art 😄 Days 19 + 20 (apologies for the increasing grittiness, I've only got one pencil and the eraser has been putting in a lot of work 😅) 1
Christopher Robin Posted October 26, 2019 Posted October 26, 2019 Lol nice combo with Treasure and Ghost. Wait ghosts wear flannel? Hmmm it must be the ghost of a scrapyarder then. Or a Nirvana fan. 1 2 Like the Costume Creator? Enjoy a challenge? Love to WIN? You really should've clicked here before 6pm on Sunday the 18th!
Midnight Blue Mage Posted October 26, 2019 Author Posted October 26, 2019 @Christopher Robin Thanks :D and yes, in fact it's the old boy himself (and it wouldn't surprise me if he was a Nirvana fan 😸) 1

Midnight Blue Mage Posted October 28, 2019 Author Posted October 28, 2019 @QueenBethari it can be very slippery! 😄 @Christopher Robin Check out the Golden Giza in St. Martial, it's really cool and has a (slightly sleazy) Vegas vibe; neon everywhere, so it's a great place for noir/mafioso heroes and villains to hang out 1
Midnight Blue Mage Posted November 2, 2019 Author Posted November 2, 2019 (edited) Triple combo for the final entry :] Days 29-31 First year participating for me, and it was really fun. It felt great to finally put marks on paper again (I'm tempted to make a habit of it), and it was awesome to have City of Heroes and all the awesome resident artists as an inspiration ❤️ Thanks for joining me for this thread, everyone; happy fall! Christopher Robin Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 (edited) Thank you for starting the thread MBM, it was a fun diversion. You should make it a habit, you know the more I see your drawings the more they remind me of a single panel comic. A speech bubble or two and a couple reoccurring characters or a pithy caption and you're there. Something like "The Adventures of Missing Cat." I would totally read that comic if it existed.
