Duck-Smokes-Quack Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 Title says it all I have zero experience with any of these sets. I like the idea of having a heal in the attack chain for both. I know that Dark is ST and ive seen a few claim that Rad Melee = OP Any thoughts? (Also would this combo be better off as a Brute or a Tank?)
Sura Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 I'm not positive, but I think Rad allows Irradiated Ground to continue to work while you sit safely in Hibernate. So I think I'd be tempted more by Rad.

So I think I'd be tempted more by Rad. I am REALLY struggling to pick a secondary for Ice/ I dont know why ... ive been in character creator for so long and nothing at all stands out to me
Sura Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 I did Elec and I really like how it's turned out. I'm a sucker for screenshaker knocker downer powers and Elec has three, including Lightning Rod which is an amazing opener. I think Elec pairs at least somewhat well with Ice because the (significant) END drain in Energy Absorption combines well with all the END drain in Elec. I know END draining isn't the super coolest, but it's been a fun angle, if that makes sense. I was Ice/Axe back in Live, and that was good. Kind of epic/legendary in a way, like Thor. I tried Ice/Staff and never made it to 50. There was just no thrill to it for me.

THIS IS BEYOND SPOOKY I eventually went with Ice/War Mace, and my charcater is called Hod (like Hodr, Nordic God of winter & dark and half brother of Thor.... This was before reading your comment ... My god, spooky. I like the combo so far, /WM has a satisying crunch to it and I think its gona be a good combo
ThrillMill Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 Maybe consider Kinetic Melee! -Dmg from attacks stack with the -Dmg from Chilling Embrace and even Darkest Night from the Soul Mastery Patron Pool. KM's pom-poms can also be colored to look...Icy.
Frostweaver Posted October 13, 2019 Posted October 13, 2019 Ice doesn't need Dark's tools. Which leaves you with a low-damage set with crappy AOE.
