Hi, I'm looking to start up a sonic/kinetic corruptor and I'm looking for a kick-ass build-inf is not an issue. I group for task forces and trials mostly,I'm rarely solo.if any of you build wizards are bored I would love to see a great build, it would be much appreciated, I haven't had the time lately to delve into pines sadly 🙁 thank you very much.

It's been a long time since I've played a kin and I don't think I'm a 'build master', but I made one anyway. Has 58.5% S/L resist, 30% F/C/AoE defense, and perma-hasten, still not too durable but that's a Kin and it sure does have heavy AoE nuke potential with Dreadful Wail & Thunder Strike to erase any group, but it'll cost like half your endurance so you'll have to transference after 😂. Empty slot at 49 for whatever you want, you can trade out hover if you want to take a new pool. EDIT: Oh and 70 range on Howl so it's not so bad.

Here's one: Softcapped to S/L/E/F/C and AoE.  Sonic/Kin is kind of an odd combo because you want to be close as a kin but at range for your cones as a sonic.  But I embraced the dichotomy and took all the cones, added Annihilation to Shockwave and Siren's Song to give them -resist as well, and Cryonic to add a 4th cone to the mix.  You could switch out Overwhelming Force for Annihilation in Shockwave if you don't want to deal with the KB.

Solo against large groups, I would put them to sleep with Siren's Song, run in to Fulcrum, Amplify, and Dreadful Wail, and then either single target what's left or pull back for more cones.  You could do the same in groups but open with Howl instead of Siren's.

Wow thanks ,another great one. Thanks alot for taking the time on this. I knew it was an odd combo going in but it's kind of fun adapting to the group makeup I think. If they've got heals under control I can hang back some and do some damage or I can play full on nurse hahaha. My alt-itis is really flaring up lately

I would not go Sonic Blast as a corruptor. Defenders get -20% res to all with their Sonic powers as opposed to the corruptors -15%. What this means in practice is that you go to around -80% res on a defender, but only -60% on a corruptor. If you are teaming, the difference is stark. In terms of a build here is a thread for a Kinetics/Sonic Defender that has softcapped melee/ranged defense and lots of resistance+recharge. This will allow you to wade into melee range and fulcrum shift maximizing your and your parties DPS.

I have a level 40 Sonic/Kin corruptor and I agree; the combination is better as a defender thanks to the debuff numbers.  That said the combination is still very effective on a corruptor, it would just be more effective on a team as a defender.  Solo it's likely a tossup with the higher base damage of the corruptor and the defender inherent kicking it's damage up a bit solo while having 25% more debuff power.
