Fortunata - Aim, Assault, and/or Field Medic

I want assault to boost team damage.  I want Aim to boost Psychic Wail.  But, getting endurance back with Field Medic is super tempting because I'd like to use ageless radial instead of core.  I know that I need extra endurance.  My attack chain uses about 4 end a second and I get back only 2.5 end per second with toggles.

 

What would you do?

Swap the Numina proc for the Panacea one (or even use both if you can find a slot somewhere). It works out slightly better over time, even it comes in lumps rather than a steady flow. I found this guide really helpful. 

 

Don't forget you can use enhancement boosters to get up to 5 "extra" levels in normal IOs - use them to shave off endurance in TT:A and boost up the EndMod in Stamina. It's a bit spendy, but it's worth it. 

 

Mask Presence has a fairly low defence buff when you're in combat - about two thirds of the defence value is suppressed and it's very cheap to run so your two /EndRed enhancements aren't particularly efficient there - it's like being given a discount and then using it on the cheapest thing in the store. It really is a one-slot wonder, in my opinion. . 

 

You might be better off moving a slot to make room for Panacea, or adding an endurance reduction to something else? It looks like your attacks are mostly 5-slotted so your 3 most used attacks could possibly be cheaper a bit - reducing endurance cost in attacks is usually better over time than reducing endurance cost of toggles. 

 

Foresight takes damage resist sets, and Unbreakable Guard has a 2.5% global endurance discount on 2 slots. It's not a lot, but it's something.

Thank you, Panacea is a good idea.  I replaced the Numina proc with it.

 

Remove the endurance from the toggles and add it to the attacks.  Let's try that:

 

(Follow up > Lunge > Strike > Swipe) = 4.5 seconds

 

Without Endurance reduction:  19.54 end

WIth Endurance reduction:  15.54 end

 

Toggles with endurance reduction:  .81 end/sec

Toggles without endurance reduction:  1.1 end/sec

 

(19.54 / 4.5) end/sec + (.81) end/sec = 5.152 end/sec

 

(15.54 / 4.5) end/sec + (1.1) end/sec = 4.553 end/sec

 

I'd also recover less end because I removed the recovery bonus's from powers and need to make up of the lost defense.

 

5.152 end/sec - 3.27 end/sec = 1.882 end/sec

4.553 end/sec - 3.13 end/sec = 1.423 end/sec

 

With a difference of .459 end per second.  Not bad, I could probably find a way to make it a tiny bit better.

 

I'm still using more end than I can recover.  Oh well.

To be honest, you'll always lose endurance over time, but the changes will prevent you from crashing a lot sooner. You've probably bought yourself an extra 50 seconds of combat. It's worth going for the accolade bonuses - you can do each one in an hour or so and it's 10% more endurance and therefore 10% more endurance recovery.

 

With Ageless, you should be okay for a while, though.
