Hi there

 

I am looking for an endgame Ice/Rad build, but I am unsure if I can achieve the things I want, as I am not that good with Mids. I want perma AM/Hasten, softcapped ranged defenses (this should be enough, or what do you guys think?) Is this even possible without taking the fighting pool? Pools I wanted to take are: Leadership (Maneuvers, Maybe Assault), Flight (Hover, Fly), Leaping (Combat Jumping), Speed (Hasten, Maybe Superspeed), Dark Mastery (Dark Consumption, Sould Drain, Dark Embrace).

 

Powers I can live without are: Choking Cloud, Fallout, EM Pulse and Bitter Freeze Ray and I would skip eiter Ice Bolt or Ice Blast and maybe Mutation if the build is tight.

 

Some points in the right direction, like if this is even possible would help me much and would be highly appreciated. Money is not an issue.

Just to see if it could be done slapped this together I've never tried this combo and I couldn't play it without fighting pool. Thunderstrike sets yuck. You could move them about swap stuff around. Burnout isn't necessary if you want mutation/self rez:

Thanks, that's very nice of you. I am always interrested in the opinions of people that are more experienced with builds than I am. Why wouldn't you play without the fighting pool? Why is Thunderstrike bad? You make it sound, like the build could be much better with the fighting pool?

I like a lot of Darkir's builds especially the numbers-better recharge and higher resists but 6 slotting powers like boxing that I will never use and only 3 slotting one of the main attacks like ice blast doesn't feel right. Theres lots of ways to go to hit the numbers you want. I dislike thunderstrikes because your 6 slotting the set just for the ranged defence bonuses and that's pretty much all they give. The main hitter's in the set are bitter ice blast/ice storm/blizzard but most days your chain will be ice blast-freeze ray-bitter ice blast so slotting them for max damage is always the way I choose to go. And that's why I prefer to take fighting pool-it means I don't have to slot thunderstirkes in attacks, instead I can slot for better damage:

So there are many ways to make builds depending on what people want to do and the archetype and power selection. Corruptors often pay a high price by trying to go for the melee and ranged softcap, unless they have defense powers in their secondary (and even then it can be difficult to get the right slots you need where you need them while keeping caps). Unfortunately, the most efficient way to do this is to fully slot things like brawl and boxing, even though you'll never use them they still give you 7.5% melee defense. For example here is an ice/rad build with ranged and melee defense caps, but its recharge and endurance suffers, if I knew I was always going to have ageless I'd use it. If I was going to exemplar though, I would use something else.  (you did ask for an endgame build though, so here you go)

If we only care about ranged defense though, because we will always be behind teammates or using hover there are better options like this one. This one has more recharge and resists. I'd play this if I wanted to exemplar.

Last one. This goes rune of protection and mace shield, so you are capping S/L/E instead. You get much more recharge this way, but at the cost of overall defense through R/M. You can still scrap with this against most enemies. Just understand that you are much more susceptible to damage when rune of protection is off.
