Build Advice Please (Nature/Dark and Storm/Sonic)

Hi,

 

I've had a look and cannot find the builds that Darkir is bound to have posted 🙂

 

Anyone got nice builds for :

 

1. Nature/Dark

2. Storm/Sonic... I have found the following thread that I am looking at and other than having scream as well as shriek, and hover rather than combat jumping, it looks very good.  

 

I am planning on team utility and rarely soloing.  I don't mind buying expensive IOs if required.

lol, I have not made and posted every combination of build yet. I retooled the nature/water build I made in an earlier thread for this. Not sure if these are the dark powers you want for the dark blast portion and those are a lot more subjective than a lot of other sets. The amount of defense and -tohit debuffs combined might be overkill, but meh.

Thank you.  I am IO shopping and will respec to this and see how it plays.  It looks nice in mids 🙂 

 

I am new to these power sets and wondering if anyone has any thoughts on Rebirth.  It looks highly situational but it could be helpful if things are going badly.  I can see why it's not in the build but am interested on what players think of this power.

Rebirth isn't really needed for nature, as you are providing enough heals, resists, damage, and endurance reduction as it is. I don't know what other people think about it.

So, I can tell you that even my revised build Storm/Sonic needs a little work still, but that's part of the fun for me is distilling from an initial build.  What I can tell you from hands on experience so far at 33.

* @Hjarki's use of Force Feedback in Lightning Storm and Tornado  are great calls.  I am a tough choice trying to decide if I need the Force Feedback or the KB->KD proc in Lightning Storm.  
* KB->KD proc in Hurricane I've found to be essentially pointless because of the repel anyway.  I'm going to try moving that slot elsewhere since most melee toons don't want you flying around with that in their mobs anyway.
* The Negative Energy Proc in Freezing Rain doesn't seem to hit enough to really make it worth the slot, sadly without hero stats anymore I can't be certain but by feel I'm probably losing or replacing that.
* Shockwave with Force Feedback and Sudden Acceleration procs are an amazing soft crowd control and self buff power - I've got the defender ATO that procs the PBAoE absorb too which seems to add a little suitability.
* Tornado is awesome, but it is challenging to use in big groups even with the KB->KD proc in it.  The mag 10 fear when you hit a tight mob causes all sorts of issues.  It's made me seriously consider going Leviathan Mastery to get a cone immobilize to help mitigate it.
* Even with the  Miracle/Numina/Panacea and Performance shifter I am still running into end issues.  I've had to retire tough for the moment being and i haven't even added my Epic pool Res toggle.

If i get something that feels a little more refined, I'll post it in this thread!

@Hades I am still learning my Storm but Hurricane is useful for herding mobs into the AE kills zone.  On the other hand it is possible to get carried away in some scenarios and aggro more than intended (that has happened once to me for which, once the team had dealt with the situation, I had to apologise).  I wll look at removing the KB to KD from Lightning Storm.

 

@Darkir The Nature/Dark build is working very nicely thank you.  Rather nice to play and I am getting better at playing Nature.
