If you want to meet another, it's three more radios, the same mayhem mission again... repeat for each contact. Seeing as they're all accessible anyway through Ouroboros after they've been outlevelled, would it be possible to have all normal zone contacts opened after one broker loop? Perhaps switch them to a badge unlock for completing the relevant mayhem mission once? Part of the problem for me with redside content is that you're locked out of a lot of it by default, so you end up having to grind before you can even pick up any meaningful missions. Galaxy Brain Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 counter offer: Make Redside content way more rewarding than Blueside in terms of Inf / Xp / Drops / merits The difficulty of the content there makes people avoid redside, so making it lucrative for the challenge will balance out the content rather than making getting to the content easier.

I find it difficult to believe that increasing xp/drops/merits on Redside story content will balance blue/red side. I don't think people avoid redside due to difficulty, but moreso out of familiarity. Most of the CoX vets were born on the blueside, so they stick to what's familiar. Red just has the unfortunate timeline of coming out later. Same with Gold.

CoV launched with issue 6 iirc, which is literally like a little over a year younger than Blueside. Redside has always had less players for... reasons, but with no restrictions on ATs / etc anymore, there is far fewer reason to play red now

In any case, outlevelling contacts is already a problem if you're levelling "the slow way" through story arcs, with no XP-boost, so increasing rewards would likely just exacerbate the problem. I was thinking more as an anti-grind measure akin to the changes to alignment swaps than a way to get more people redside. Rather than do something repetitive, allow players to streamline the experience in a one-and-done sorta way. siolfir Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Nitpicking a bit here, but it's 5 papers and a mayhem once you get to the 20s, although some contacts are available immediately (use the Find Contact button), and some of the newer contacts that were added introduce you to other contacts after running their first mission, bypassing the broker. I'm not against the suggestion and think it's a good idea, but I've found ways to get contacts without continuously running papers.

I've been doing a lot of the newer ones and the old ones are unlockable through Ouroboros, but a lot of the redside story is told through the broker-introduced arcs and I'd like to experience it moderately organically; having to run six (!) generic missions to get a four-act story arc is just pure ass.
