_NOPE_ Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 I was trying to run the game off of a virtual machine (I know, I know), and I ran into an issue. It seemed that no matter what I set the graphics settings to, when I closed and re-opened the game, it seemed to save them back to defaults. Now, I took a look over at ParagonWiki to see if there was any slash commands or command line arguments, and I couldn't find anything, so... does anyone know if there's a config file stored somewhere, or some secret slash commands that I can set BEFORE the game starts to set things up such as my display resolution, etc? I'm out.

The graphics settings are stored in your system registry, see Silk's thread on location. You can try exporting them from one machine and importing to another.
_NOPE_ Posted May 20, 2019 Author Posted May 20, 2019 UGH, the registry! Well, at least I know now... and now I'm thinking of making a "ConfigCoH program", heheh but that might find limited use... probably not worth the time to code. I'm out.
WanderingAries Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 I forget which one, but one of the *.txt files you can save (options.txt maybe?) has things like rez settings in it. That said, the game MUST remember something on the server side (per Alt) because when I went back to play the Alt I test played on my low end device (I had to adjust down the options on that device to see everything) previously, the settings I had changed on the Other device were reflected on my original machine. Everything I thought I knew about the game conflicts with this, but it def happened. The Fifth Horseman Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 but that might find limited use... probably not worth the time to code. limited use, but very high utility considering how many players have no idea how to access registry and freak out at the very idea.
