I don't have a build started yet...well, I have a build on a toon but it's basically just powers thrown together as I go. No real direction. My question is, does anyone have any suggestions or tips for creating the build or does anyone have a build they really like? I'd like to try to keep it semi-budget friendly with a bit more focus on dealing damage and debuffing and buffing the friendlies than I am in healing.

I'm very new to Nature Affinity, so I'm basically just winging it at the moment.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Without know what travel/power pools/which attacks you like its just tossing in random stuff:

Bog standard mace with 45% s/l/e def:

A squishy fold spacing fun build:

For when your sole goal is to keep your self alive (screw the team) , never want to go into melee (hail of bullets is just a mule, melee is scary) , don't care about buffing anyone but yourself, don't care about recharge cos you have enough ranged defence and s/l resists to survive, hover/fly out of range of everything so nothing can get close enough to punch you and don't really want to spend any inf on the toon. And probably won't run all your toggles as it drains the blue bar and you don't want to use recovery serums/blue insps or have to take an alpha to help out (already wishing you'd gone fender over corr):

Not used to anyone asking such specific questions, so…

  • Flight for travel power, though not necessarily hovering during combat. I've made alts with just flight an no hover if the build needs the power slot for something else. Also I sometimes get annoyed with looking through a wing-flapping alt in tight quarters. 😜
  • Pools/epics are negotiable and I'm okay with going redside to grab Scorpion Shield, though it is nice not to have to play a blueside, go red, then come back. Breaks my immersion a bit and becomes this annoyance I have to deal with. But, I know Scorpion Shield is a common go-to.
  • I prefer more durable builds that have plenty of endurance and great accuracy. I level 0-50 the hard way so I end up having to team with people who love purple-cons and I prefer not to be dead too much or just plain useless. 😉
  • I'm not shy about spending on my builds if those expensive sets have a great net gain, but I also am not out to spend millions for tiny min/max gains either. So a balance is definitely a plus. Outside bog standard or 1-star ITFs, I rarely run TFs.
  • Big plus if there are incarnate suggestions. But…I can usually wing it if needed.
  • I noticed you had 5-slot…Boxing?…in the suggested S/L build. Never seen that before…is that a mule? Seems expensive to use Superior Blistering as a mule set so I'm just trying to wrap my head around the "why."

Hope that helps.

One of my most recent characters I took to T4 Incarnates and fully accoladed is a DP/Nature/Dark Corruptor! I haven't updated my Mids fully so I have to share a screenshot instead.. but this is what I roll with. Between set bonuses, Vigor Alpha, Soul Drain, Tactics and Overgrowth, the accuracy is great. It's sort of akin to having Rage on a Corrupter but without the crash. I'd love to have gotten my defenses a bit higher, but it's practically a non-issue. Even with a measly 36/33% to Energy/Ranged respectively, it still tanks quite well for a Corrupter. Throw Barrier into the mix and... well, you can tank literally everything almost all of the time.

The build I posted has perma-everything with a handful of Force Feedback procs via Bullet Rain and Empty Clips, the latter of which is a bit underwhelming, but it's extra AoE which is nice. HP is almost capped, it's only 28 HP away from the Corrupter HP cap. I tried to go Spiritual Alpha for max recharge but found that even with perma-Overgrowth, I was spamming my attacks so quickly that my endurance bar would get pretty low. Honestly, even with Vigor Alpha I can still get my endurance bar to go low.

The build mostly focuses on being a personal buffer. I wanted to see if I could have Overgrowth and Soul Drain up at all times for max accuracy and a hefty damage boost... And it works pretty well. Even with the primary focus being offensive, it's still quite defensive and is a great addition to any team, especially if the team stays near you for your goodies! I don't throw any caution to the wind when playing ranged archetypes, I am all up in everybody's grill at all times with this build and can only recall a few faceplants. Definitely recommend the combo.
