Hi everyone!

I'm just now learning that I may be able to play CoH again and I'm very excited! I haven't owned a PC in a very long time and I'm wondering what the minimum specs I would need to get the game going. I miss the game so much and want to at least be able to throw a rig together reasonably easily and try it out. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks so much and hope to be flying around the city again soon!

If you're on a budget I would advise buying used rather than new. You're looking for Windows 7, a dedicated GPU that's about equivalent to modern entry-level (a GTX 750 Ti would be A-OK though perhaps not quite max everything), dual core with hyper-threading (Core i3, a quadcore such as Core i5 would be better but not mandatory), some 4 gigs of RAM.

SSDs are optional but HIGHLY recommended - you don't need much space for COH, and with a small 128-gig SSD your load times would be greatly reduced compared to loading the game from hard drive.

Put this together and you've got a tidy rig that can run COH perfectly well and way more besides that.

The game WILL run on Intel APUs as well, so if you can't get a discrete GPU, then an Intel i3/i5 3000 (Ivy Bridge, 2010-2012 era tech) or newer series should run fine if it has a reasonable amount of memory allocated to the graphics component.

My 3770k i7 (quad core) managed 7(?) low FPS instances (stress test) of the game back then with 16Gb system RAM / 1-2Gb dedicated/allocated to the APU. I couldn't afford my GTX770 at the time. :/

If you can't get a discrete GPU then some of the more recent AMD APUs might be a better choice than Intel.

Quite possibly, my last intentional AMD was an Athalon2 :p
