MsSmart Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 The SG concept is a wonderful idea, but it brings limitations to the game as well. To explain, by now I have 20 alts and I use the SG as a common storage of inspirations, enhancements, and salvage for all my alts, so they can all help each other out, especially when I make a new alt. I was thinking why not make an account base or house, were only alts in my account can live it in, call it the family house. Once this limitation is there, I can store all my alt's stuff there and do not be impacted by having several of my alts in different SGs and having to email myself the stuff they generate so I can store in my SG. Once I have an account house, then I could store emps, merits, and what not, perhaps this could in time facilitate the transfer of incarnate salvage between alts as well. While this i snot allowed, yet, I expect the restriction one will be eased. By having an account base or house, then all my alts could be members of many different SGs, and still be able to have a central repository, since most SGs do not allow you to store "personal" stuff for obvious reasons. Suggestions? Sue
Redlynne Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 You can already do this, to some extent, by use of coalitions. It's not EXACTLY what you're looking for ... but it's close enough, kinda sorta ... Verbogeny is one of many pleasurettes afforded a creatific thinkerizer.
SurfD Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 Not entirely sure how viable it would be, as I have no idea how the supergroup permissions are stored / referenced, but I wonder if it would be possible to add the ability to add specific individuals to a Supergroup's Storage Access Permissions without having them actually BE in the supergroup? Currently, the main limitations on supergroup interactions with alts is that in order to use the facilities, you have to be a member of the supergroup. This effectively kills your ability to use a personal SG as a storage area for your alts if you want to have your alt be a member of a different Supergroup. Given that basically anyone can visit your SG if given the access code, I wonder if it would be possible to allow granting access rights to non members? Would basically solve all of those issues. 1
