Has anyone used this combo or have any thoughts on it? I haven't seen any around, but I'm thinking it could prove interesting. Claws is pretty fast as it is, and with the extra +20% recharge +fully slotted Hasten + whatever I get from set bonuses, it seems like it could more than make up for the commonality of S/L resistance. Add to that that claws is End-friendly and Elec has an end discount, perhaps I can get by with only the initial slot for Stamina?

 

If I'm missing something,  please let me know.

Only 20 of them at 50 as of March 2020.

 

I did a DB/Elec, so you should be fine on End.  I was going for straight resist and regen...mistake.  You'll likely want defense.

 

Which is likely why you don't see many of them.

Sounds like EA would be a better choice then

Yeah, defense based armor sets are better on Scrappers and Stalkers, while resistance based armor sets are better on Brutes and Tankers.

I enjoy my Claws/Elec scrapper but I have a fair amount of investment in IOs for Smashing/Lethal and Melee Defense.

 

With the lower max resist for scrappers I would agree you can get a lot out of Defense base sets with less investment. 

 

If you are looking for a defense option, consider Claws/Ice.  That's currently my favorite all around Claws combo.

Probably above the 500 Million mark for buy it now prices in the afternoons/early evening times.  

 

I tend to get Winter sets with merits from TFs. Enhancement Catalysts, I wait until I have enough drops to convert a whole set before going for Superior sets.  Unless I'm sitting on spare influence burning a hole in my pocket. Also I get used to what sets are 'pricey' and hold on to/craft those recipes and store in base until I roll a new Alt. 

 

And if i'm leveling or patient I can put in more economical bids on the Auction House for items that can have a 20-30% swing in price. 

 

Often I have the inf/merits/enchantments/Catalysts before I create the alt.  

 

I don't worry about the cost, if I run out of influence I just go make more.
