Which tertiary set to choose for a Beast/Nature Mastermind. Leadership looks great (for buffing pets and group members) but no travel power then. Sorcery looks good too.

Depends on your total goals.

Do you care about travel? Or do you want to use Beast Run/ jet pack?

Is Defense important to you (prolly should be)? Hasten?

Just to be sure, you can select up to four additional power pools (in addition to one patron pool/APP starting at level 35). So, you can have leadership, speed (for hasten), and two additional pools from which to pick.

Apologies if you’re aware of that. I may have misread your post.

No. Did not known this. I tought from the old CoH there should be two additional powers available. But It was not clear to me.

Edit: Which travel power seems to be the most useful?

That’s mainly to taste and character theme. Team Teleport (requiring 2 prior power picks) can be useful to position melee pets all together close to the action, but that a big investment in power choices.

The new travel powers are nice with their added twists. Mystic Flight (sorcery) offers teleportation; Mighty Leap (Force of Will) offers a clickable KD; and Speed of Sound (experimentation) has Jaunt - a short teleport.

My Beast/Empath uses

  • Leadership:   Maneuvers, Assault, Tactics
  • Fighting:  Kick, Boxing, Crosspunch   (costs far less END than MM direct attacks, and cross punch is quite good when you take all three, and makes sure I'm always in range of my pets for the Pet-Aura IO's)
  • Flight:   Fly, Air Sup, Group Fly (planned but don't have Group yet)

Haven't chosen epic pool yet.

When you are thinking ancillary power pools, fire with bonfire as a choice is a leading contender for outstanding mob control. You would just need to slot a knockback to KnockDOWN Invention Origin enhancement in the  power for superior effect.
