As far as We remember Sonic Dispersion also grants resistance to Energy damage as well, while light being a form of Energy We can understand why the area becomes darker. It absorbs a portion of the sun light that's why. Seriously it's a bug, but We aint remember it is taking place. Maybe it's because We were playing without shadows enabled.
