MM pets refusing to be summoned.

I had this issue in Mothership raid, and later in a Winter Lord instance. in the MSR, I had my protector bots and battle drones summoned, but the assault bot just straight up said no. I tried over and over, made sure afterburner and PFF were off - nothing. I had no trouble re-summoning bots when they were killed, and tried twice to dismiss all and re-summon, but still only got the tier one and tier two pets to show up.

Later in the Winter Lord instance, I was standing in ouroboros with my bots summoned, and when I appeared in the instance, they were gone, and I couldn't summon ANY of them (and man did I try).

I did run other solo missions and some team 50+ team content later, and that all went fine.

I'm perfectly willing to accept it's something I did, but yesterday was the only time that stuff has happened to me.

If I'm remembering discussion of this bug from elsewhere correctly, it's due to the pets being already summoned and not replacing when summoned. You need to either release all your pets (/releasepets or /petcomall dismiss) or just the tier that's being obstreperous (/petcompow Assault Bot dismiss) or specifically named pet using /petcomname.

In MSR especially it seems like if the pets get too lost (like teleported away by the shield) they enter a weird state of being summoned but not on your pet list. If you zone they will appear obediently by your side and pet list. If you die and rez they'll be reset and you can then resummon them.

I've seen this  I think srmalloy up there is right about what was taken as the best reset.  I think you might also try rezoning (that's what cleared it up for me, iirc), or even loggi9ng out and back in.  Not that helpful when you're trying to play though, no, but those should fix things at least for the time being.

I think this was the original issue -- going from pylon 4 to pylon 5, the MM pets would try to take the most direct route to follow the MM, and would hit the shield, get sent back to Point du Hoc, and become unresponsive, the teleport severing the MM's control and removing them from the pet list.

This is similar to one of the problems the devs faced when figuring out how to make pets zone with you (remember resummoning when you went up elevators?) -- they got the pets to zone, but they became disconnected from their summoner, becoming hostile (you zone, your fire imps zone, and they start attacking you).

So I ran into the same problem yesterday during an MSR, this time it was all of my pets. In an effort to avoid the same issue occurring, I left my pets un-summoned while attacking the pylons, and tried to summon them once I got onto the ship. However, when I tried to summon them, they never showed up.

I tried "dismiss all" and re-summoning; no luck. Managed to get myself killed, came back and my pets summoned just fine. I think in the original scenario, it's as Eda said where I'm getting too far away from them and they end up getting stuck Crom knows where and going inactive. Yesterday's attempt to circumvent it left me a bit puzzled. I could maybe respec into group fly, but I seem to remember it being ungainly and slow. also end-heavy.

Group Fly is too slow for the pylon chase.

I typically don't summon my pets til we're in the bowl for the above mentioned reasons. Until then I lean on my secondary to support the league.

Another reason Group Fly needs a rework. Please, devs. Teleport, Energy Melee, Trick Arrow...all modern day miracles. Can we get Flight Pool attended to as well? 😁😁😁

I forget whether it was /releasepets that would do it or not, but I'd rather the devs identify the problem and fix it.

That's what I've done with the MMs I've taken on MSRs. Group Fly will work if you go through some backflips -- putting yourself on follow to one of your pets, then using the pet goto command to send them around, dragging you with them so they never get out of range, for example. Again, fixing it is a better solution.
