greenbodice
As a player who commonly runs a small number of binds on a large number of alts, I’d like to print the current value of a bound key. Currently, if I type /bind button4 there is no output or any indication that a value is bound to button4. Nor does it alter the existing bind. I suggest the default behavior for /bind [key] should be to print the current bind value to the console. This will let me see what is bound, and then I can also use copy/paste to easily update or alter the bind.
CrudeVileTerror
Not to subvert your suggestion @greenbodice, but I just would like to share with you the command: /showbind [KEY] I make regular use of the command, and hope that it helps you in meeting your needs as well. 1
Akisan
Some immediate feedback would be nice, along the lines of "<key> is now bound with <binding>". Until that feedback is added though, you can get quite a bit of mileage out of /showbind <key>, which prints the command(s) bound to <key> (and is invaluable for troubleshooting, I use it a lot)

THANK YOU! I have looked for this in online guides and never saw it, but that’s exactly what I’m looking for.
ninja surprise
I don't know if you have a system for managing your binds, but here's what I do: keybinds.txt is your global bind file and applies to all your characters. You can update it with /bindsave and load it with /bindload. I load it with numpad7 I mostly play melee toons, so I have a big repository of "armor-shield.txt" type files with a common key to turn on all the toggles in that armor. So one for bio, ice, etc. I load it with numpad8 Then I have a third bindfile with binds unique to that character: battle cry, some emotes, taunts or nukes, other key powers. I load it with numpad9 I use Notepad++ to edit them, and usually keep a bunch of bindfiles open so I can edit and save them while playing, until they are exactly how I want them. Then when I log into a toon I press numpad 7/8/9 and it loads up all my current binds and if I forget how do activate a power on an alt I haven't played in a while I just look in Notepad++
