Circle of Thorns boss badge

I can't figure out which bosses are supposed to give credit for this one.  Between Soul Binder and The Silver bullet in my list of Defeats badges is one for CoT bosses.  It reads, "Smash 50 Circle of Thorns bosses to earn this badge."  I have it at 42 of 50 but mage bosses don't seem to make it tick.  Is it only bosses other than mages or what?  It's driving me a little nuts trying to find alternate bosses.

Yeah, it's the bosses that aren't mages.  If memory serves, they show up more frequently redside than blue.

Yeah, about what I figured.  I'll have to see about some of the arcs that have them via Ouroboros or something.  Thanks for the confirmation.  Was afraid it was stuck like one of the crafting badges is.

As I recall there is several CoT badges:

 

• Soul Binder: Which is any 100 CoT Mages
  
• Could Blooded: Which is 250 of Hellfrosts or Hordelings
  
• Weed Whacker: 50 Succubi or Hellfrosts
  

 

You could Go Rogue and haunt Nerva Archipelago and Sharkhead Isle for CoT of all sorts.

 

Oh and there is also an Incarnate Badge for +50 where you need to defeat a certain amount of the +50 CoT in Dark Astoria.

As I recall there is several CoT badges:

• Weed Whacker: 50 Succubi or Hellfrosts
  

 

So I've been doing some testing by beating up Hellfrosts, and unless we can find Succubi somewhere, the Weed Whacker badge seems to be a valentine's event only badge.

I know I'm kinda necro posting, but I'm confused as to exactly what bosses count for this badge, aren't they all mages? Or is it the named Circle of Thorns bosses?

You can find succubi in on the beach in Grandville and high-level redside CoT missions, possibly in the very north end of Nerva.

Suggest trying the Drowning in Blood trial, I think the CoT in there will help.

My badge hunter does have that badge, just can't recall where/when he got it.

I got Weed Whacker by hunting Succubi in Founders Falls along the main river that runs North & South. There's a walkway on either side of the river with bridges that cross the river. CoT tend to spawn near the underpasses, and most of the time with mages. I would work one side and then the next, clearing the CoT spawns and occasionally Succubi will spawn in place of a mage on the next spawn.
