Natural Brute?

I'm trying to make a Brute whose abilities come from training (no aliens).  I'm primarily thinking of MA or StJ with WP.  I'm willing to consider others.

I primarily group, and do some soloing.  I only PVE.  I don't PVP.

Sound choices. SR and SD are also common picks for natural fighters but both come with click mez protection which some find annoying. Hell, I main SR and *I* find it annoying.

Martial Arts and Street Justice would both work well with Willpower.  If you don't mind using weapons, War Mace and Katana would both be good as well.  As Bill said, Super Reflexes and Shield Defense would be fine choices for secondary as well.  You've got quite a few options to pick from.  All would work well.  It just depends on if you want single target damage (Street Justice), mostly single target with some AoE (Martial Arts and Katana), or a good mixture of both (War Mace).

Really any weapon attack set, Shield would also be viable.  I do love the concept of a StJ / Will.  Just gritty.
