Hi guys.

Still trying to modernize all the alts I made when I first joined Homecoming.  Today we have Eden Savage, a modern day female Tarzan "arresting" bad guys with the powers of fangs, claws and dark powers.

Because reasons.

She was another of my "generic-IO over strangely picked powers" fest.  So I tried reading as much as I could here and I came up with this build.  It LOOKS solid to me but could probably be improved a bit.  I know for instance that I have WAY too much recharge, Hasten overlaps by almost 12 seconds.  So what could I focus on instead?

That last power will either be a travel or another leadership toggle like Assault, haven't decided yet.

Thanks in advance!

-The build is over the 'rule of 5' for LotG +7.5% recharge.

-Mids' has Call Hawk toggled on, so it's adding Force Feedback's +100% recharge to the totals. Alot of the powers will be recharging slower than what's indicated.

-Impeded Swiftness proc would activate more often than Lady Grey in Dire Wolf.

-I think Cloud Sense set bonuses are better than Dark Watcher's in Darkest Night.

-Web Envelope would probably work out well with Beast/Dark. Immobilized targets wouldn't be able to run out of Tar Patch, keep them tight for AoE attacks/debuffs. Also Beasts perform better vs stationary targets, imo.

-Build will probably have endurance issues especially if Call Hawk/Ravens are spammed. Theft of Essence proc in Twilight grasp might help with that. Also adding some slots into Stamina. Or maybe Victory Rush from the Leadership pool. Though I'm not sure how much endurance it provides.

-I recommend slotting Soulbound Allegiance and Overwhelming Force to your pets. They add a considerable amount of damage and mitigation.

It's a solid build. Even if you ignore all of the above advice, it will probably still perform very well. I like the totals you reached in S/L/E def and resists. I think they're really good for an MM. Awesome job!

Didn't know this rule.  Well noted, thank you sir!

Absolutely right!  Another learned thing 🙂

Oh? Why? (Seriously, I have no idea.  I really don't know anything about procs)

You are... absolutely right on this!

Really?  I didn't know that bit about beasts and stationary targets.  Nice suggestion!

I'm going to try it without and if it comes to that, I will absolutely take that into account!

They're better than ATOs?  I'm not sure how to proceed with this one I'm afraid.

Thank you!  It was a clueless build borne of all the info I could gather and some instinct stapled over it. (get it? Instinct?  Beasts?  Ok I'm sorry.) I have zero experience with higl level MMs and very little high level experience to begin with.

Clicking 'View Active Sets' in the Mids' window opens a pop up that lists IO set bonuses in the build. Anything highlighted in red isn't doing anything for the build.

The Dire Wolf has 6 different attacks. Two of 6 attacks apply a -def debuff with each having a chance to trigger the Lady Grey proc. Five of 6 attacks apply slow with each having a chance to proc Impeded Swiftness.

The T1 and T2 pet attacks are all melee. They seem to take longer to take down a moving target as they chase, stop to bite and by the time that animation ends, the target is 15' away and then they chase again. Most other MM primary pets have some ranged attacks to take down running enemies.

Imo, Overwhelming Force and Soulbound Allegiance are more important than the 4 Superior Command of the Mastermind set. The +4% damage is small as it only applies to the MM, not the pets. +4% is probably equivalent to +2 points of damage for Hawk and Ravens. The +10% recharge can probably be picked up elsewhere.

@StrikerFox seriously, THANK YOU.  I really like the way you explain everything, it will help me in my future builds!

Now let's see how I can improve this little guy here.

Another thing: When it says "MezResist[whatever] 60%", what does it mean?  I know that mezzes are usually quantified by "mag" applied but this is a flat % number so it is like ... defense?  60% of the time, the mez "misses"?

Another other thing! :  The 10% resist from Sovereign Right I put on my Wolves, does it affect ALL my pets, only these pets, or only the Mastermind?

You're welcome! The way I understand it is...

-Status Resistance counters Mez Time.

-Status Protection counters Mez Mag.

Mez resistance reduces the amount of time your character is mezzed. 100% resistance would cut mez time down by half. So if you're hit with a power that typically holds for 10 seconds, you'll be held for 5 seconds. 200% resistance would drop mez time to 1/3rd of the time, 300% resistance would drop mez time down to a quarter, etc.

On top of mez, there's Status Protection. The higher the number, the more mez mag you can handle (If that makes any sense).

Yes, Sovereign Right and the other pet uniques affect all pets except for Soulbound Allegiance. That only works on the pet it's slotted into.

Wow.  this gal used to die. All the time.

I tested the build at level 32 and though it's still brutally incomplete, she rocked a +0x4 Devouring Earth mission and we can agree that the DE are NOT an easy group to learn a new build.

With a full build she will be a machine.  Very hectic playstyle, always something to do. Though I don't think that I need to work on +rech as much as necessary on most characters.  Most of her useful powers ar on a very short timer. Perhaps I could put my efforts somewhere else?

But yeah, it's end-challenged, big time.  Call Raven is a END sink and sticking only Procs in there might not be the shiniest idea for the moment.

So, what would be the mastermind anti-thesis of this? This is hectic and single target, melee damage.  So the opposite would be ... Bots?  And... what secondary?  FF?
