The origins of the powers and their visual rendering.
For example: For the origin mutation that the powers remain as they are with their current design.

For the magic origin use the same type of design as in the Sorcery pool or be inspired by the Marvel and Doctor Strange movies. There could also be powers emitted by sticks, scepters, jewelry, necklaces etc. or voodoo dolls.
Finally something that looks "magical".

For the technology it could look like mutation but emitted by guns, rifles, gloves (those of the existing costumes) helmets or a whole bunch of gadgets.

Experimentation would be more complicated, but why not have animations of pricks, potions to drink, inhalation of toxic vapors etc. Yes I know it would be complicated for the activation time of the powers but I think it's feasible.

To finish the prodigy origin why not stay on mutation but with more discreet effects and different aspect ?

So either the player chooses at the beginning or he will be able to change over time the type of damage he wants.

And if you want there can be a double whip powerset, but also chains instead of whips, chains with a ball, energy chains, electric chains etc...

The whip set's been asked for before. Sounds like you're basically mixing it with the ammo types (conceptually) of dual pistols. I Seem to recall that the animations for whips were *exceptionally* hard for the live team to come up with and animate properly, which may be an issue with filling out a full set, but other than that... *shrug* why not.
