GraspingVileTerror Posted August 28, 2021 Author Posted August 28, 2021 No. Trigger warning: Suspense. Body Horror. Slasher violence. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QW5CfkUh_uw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPBH3XO8YEU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlwzuZ9kOQU (spoiler-heavy) Continuation of the original movie, and a really solid horror film. If you like horror, slashers, or thoughtful storytelling and can stomach gore and violence, then I say this is worth seeing.

I don't like scary movies 😕 1 I lead weekly Indom Badge Runs / A newer giant monster guide by Glacier Peak / A tour of Pocket D easter eggs! / Arena All-Star Accolade Guide! Best Post Ever....
TheOtherTed Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 I never saw the original film because of the number 5. Is that crazy? Does that make me crazy?
GraspingVileTerror Posted August 28, 2021 Author Posted August 28, 2021 While Pentaphobia may be a rare type of Numerophobia, I know what it's like to have an extreme aversion to a particular number. So, I feel ya, @TheOtherTed. Although I don't know the specific context that Candyman (1992) has to the number 5.

So, I feel ya, @TheOtherTed. Although I don't know the specific context that Candyman (1992) has to the number 5. In the original Candyman, saying his name five times in a mirror is supposed to make him appear and kill you. At the time it struck me as a weird number to pick. I figured the writers wanted to avoid the number 3 because it was too much of a trope, and 7 (the next "magic" number in Western superstition) was too many times to say "Candyman." So they settled on 5, and I rolled my eyes when I was of an age where an eyeroll was sufficient for a hard pass. No pentaphobia here, though. I like 5. It's the number 8 that must be stopped. 1 1 1
