Rudra Posted April 10, 2022 Posted April 10, 2022 (edited) I like not having to devote slots to my pet upgrade powers as an MM. On Live, before they implemented that change, my upgrade powers were slotted for END redux and recharge redux so I could try to upgrade my pets as quickly as I needed to replace them. I'd be frantically summoning replacement pets during a bad fight, then having to individually upgrade each pet with both upgrade powers, only to see them die as I try to upgrade, and instead give up so I can focus on keeping pets appearing as fast as possible. Now? I slot END redux x1 and call it good. Not having a need to slot sets in those two powers or more than the redux means I have that many more slots to throw where I actually need them. If any improvement were to happen to the pet upgrade powers, the only one I would be interested in is an offset to increase my pets' levels closer to my characters so they function like they do as incarnate pets in incarnate zones. Or at least closer to it. As has been pointed out earlier in this thread, on the rare occasion I team and that team does +4 content, my pets other than the T3 pet (Oni, Lich, whatever) is the only pet that survives long enough to do anything. So I'm basically running a buff or debuff support with only 3 attacks and 1 pet for most of the mission. (On incarnate content, they're fine. As long as they stay close enough that they get the level shifts so they are effectively 53 too. [50+3, 49+4, and 48+5]) Edited April 10, 2022 by Rudra Edited to add "up" to "give up" so it stops just being "give". Also to add "instead".
ArchmageMC Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Why not just make the upgrade powers auto, so you never have to upgrade your pets again. you just summon them and they have all your uprgades applied already. 1 1

Some players intentionally skip certain upgrades because it hampers the pets' effectiveness. It's rare, but it happens. I'd rather be give the option to have this vs it being foisted upon everyone...
