"Take out Hero. Retrieve List" Mission by Alan Desslock Bugged

Alan Desslock has a story arc by the name of "The Longbow List," which is level 30+.  I started it at level 50, set to +2.  The third mission in the story arc, "Take out Hero.  Retrieve list," has a bunch of level 41 Longbow Eagles... as well as a level 41 Back Alley Brawler.  The rest of the mobs in the mission are level 52.

 

I'm looking at BABs right now, and he's nine levels lower than me and conning gray.

I'm okay calling this a "Feature" and not a Bug.

But somehow I don't think my opinion will count for much here . . .

I take it you're a Spider to have Alan as a contact. He's one of the first contacts, then like most "official" spider contacts, he goes radio silent for some time. When you're at the proper level, he returns to your contact's list with the call button active. He's an on-going arc, but only has one story arc. could it be that you started the arc around 30-40 (first two missions), then forgot about him or had a huge XP surge (like an ITF or Market Crash) and then went back and finished the third? What level did it say on the mission list before you started it? If not, does he already appear in the Pillar's mission list? you can abandon it then do it from the crystal so that the mission and your level will be a match. I distinctly remember having to tangle with BAB on a lowbie spider, and it was tough.

No, I didn't start the story arc until level 50, and the mission was level 50.  Most of the mobs were level 52, except for the Longbow Eagles and Back Alley Brawler, who were level 41.
