hit 50 with this guy and started testing the build out in radio missions, set to 1 person, no notoriety buffs or anything. Was still getting wiped at the first group, it was a bit hard to play. 

As you can see I min/max'd for recharge in this build to try and get LR and SC as low as possible, as well as slotting FF+rech in everything i could and taking whirlwind to add to the chaos. I slacked on defenses to go for extra recharge, is that why the build is so weak? Am I missing something? as it stands from hide I can kill 1 thing and then as soon as I break hide, I can knock people down and try to CC but it's just delaying the inevitable, I get washed.

TBH i'm also pretty new, I only have a fire farmer and this is my first fully IO'd build other than my farmer, so will this build only operate in a team where I wont get focused instantly? I honestly thought full set IO's meant that you could solo anything 😛

The biggest issue I see here is that you maximized recharge at the expense of defense. What are your positional defense values? Typically with Shield Defense people chase defense up to at least 45% for melee/ranged/AoE, then either switch focus to resistance or recharge.

 

Also I'm a rare one in that I like whirlwind on several AT's, but it isn't doing you any good as a Stalker other than breaking hide and messing up your chance to crit.

 

Your IO choices and slotting is kinda all over the place, look at how you slot physical perfection or superior conditioning for example. I'd replace the efficacy adapter and use the Synapse's Shock Proc for increased run speed +end mod and hit a quick 7.5% move speed bonus in at least one of them. But still it seems counterproductive to how you manage endurance.

 

Realistically you should look at some of the other builds here as you picked essentially a flavor of the month in that Elec/SD Stalkers are very common so there's tons of builds out there.

I recently revamped my own Elec/Shield - perhaps it will be a useful reference point.

 

This build features:

  • Softcap to all positions.
  • Near immunity to slows.
  • Moderate global recharge.
  • Extra proccy goodness squeezed in where possible for more damage.

lol, good to hear that you are a fellow whirlwind enjoyer. Thanks for all the advice, I figured my recharge maximizing was the issue here. Thanks for letting me know about the whirlwind stalker synergy as well, I wasn't thinking about that.
