Yeah I really enjoy my Energy/Energy stalker. I have done just about everything with it. But mostly I solo with him. However I recently respeced into Energy Torrent and really like it for the added extra AoE. This is great on teams as a opening attack with large mobs. 

I will say this is a really expensive build so be forewarned.

Soft capped type defenses before Hide is even turned on. Making builds with stealth powers: always get the defense you feel comfortable with before you turn on the stealth! 

Actually have more recharge than is needed, so swapping some purples out for something else would probably not hurt to much. Just watch the Accuracy numbers.

 

Note: about the slotting on Energy Torrent it is Hami and D-Synch, this is the only way to increase the powers Range. This slotting will take it from 40ft to 63ft and you will notice this ingame.

Here's my em/ea/mu build. 145% global recharge (+20% entropy and 70% hasten gets you to 235%, or 255% with sg base buff, 270% with amplifier). Proc loaded ET, Double proc TF, Zapp, and Ball lightning. Good utility for a stalker with Experimental Injection ally buff (mez protection, 100% regen buff, 25% recovery buff) perma for one ally. Adrenal Booster with nearly 50% uptime buffs all your stun durations in addition to +34% dmg, +27.7% rchg, and massive accuracy buff. You can hit nearly 300% rchg with this build which hits the cap on things slotted for recharge like TF and Energize and allows even long cd attacks like 0 rchg ball lightning to come back in 9 seconds and 0 rchg ET.

Croax's thread has a build for everything. I haven't looked at it for Em/ea, but I have used one of his builds and minorly modified another. Em/ea lacks AoE but it is the best for ST damage.

You can make Mids report the in-combat Stealth numbers under Options->Configuration->Effects and Math and clicking the checkbox next to "Attacked". Unless there's another reason you're building defenses without Stealth's numbers.
