Here is my first tank build when I came back to CoH home. He is a tank that can do it all. Some will know him by Soul Zap on excelsior. Uts a super solid build and AE farm to TF any thing your heart wants to do. Also push out good dmg for a tanker.

Love the way you got so much aoe and the full fighting pool in and used dark consumption as a mini nuke. Mines not that different til you get to epics which i skipped, i like to have taunt and touch of fear and tactics. Skipped dark consumption with energize and power sink it didn't seem useful although looking at your build i can see how it would be. I went for a bit more rech/def/res at the expense of aoe damage :

I fell like recharge not that big of deal cause I am able to have DC up at all time either 1 stack up to 10. Also love to see some one else think these power combo is fun and kick ass. I know a lot of people don't think of Ele armor being top tier but it hold it own weight and some just fine. Just want to share other day since it was tanker Tuesday lol.

While there are AT differences, I had a DM/Elec Brute back on live and he was a powerhouse. Glad to see a Tanker version.

I really enjoyed Elec Armour (with War mace...)  One of my favourite Tanks.  On live.  On HC.  A pocket rock regen', sap protection, Psi and Elec resists.


Dark/Dark Tank.  A revelation of thoughtful tanking.  Layers of DoT float and dance above mobs.  The Chainsaw Tier 1-3 attacks.  Tough of Fear now does Damage.  I have Dam procs in Dark Regen, Taunt.  Dark Consumption...etc stacked with...Soul Drain.  You see where we go with this.  You can just take mobs apart with Dark/Dark.


Here, you've got a decent build.  I think these two together would make an enticing Tank.  Some good resist numbers and your melee is close to the cap.  I wonder.  Will you take Barrier Incarnate to cap it?

For Incarnate Abilities I took :


Melee radial embodiment

Rebirth Core Epiphany

Void core Final Judgement

Paralytic Radial Flawless interface

Agility Core Paragon

and lore was for fun and RPish but I took Storm elemental

I much prefer my dm/elec brute over the tank even though the tank is way more survivable the damage in comparison is awful. Tried a solo moonfire the other day and it was the longest av fight i've ever had. Shadow punch is just pitiful on the tank and i didn't bother slotting it so its all pbaoe attacks other than SL, smite/siphon life/midnight grasp on the brute is miles ahead and it downs hard targets way quicker. Or it could be because i got too used to bio/ or fire/ or stone/ tanks lately being great dps toons in comparison to elec/ . Even soul drain doesn't make much difference 1 on 1 i have to run about trying to find mobs and that allows tough stuff to regen. If i could fit in a decent slotted gloom i think that would make a big difference.
