I have installed the game via Tequila as well as installed it via the torrent link.  Each time resulted in the same outcome. When I press play I get the "Loading" to pop up on my screen and it just stays there and nothing happens.  Went through the threads that are posted in this section and nothing seems to cover this issue.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

Launching Tequila

Clicking on Play (while Homecoming is selected not Homecoming Beta) (have tried Homecoming Beta before as well)

Game starts up with the "Loading" popping up on my screen.

And it stays there.

As stated before, I have tried installing the game both ways, via Tequila and also via the torrent. (yes, Tequila installed version was removed completely before the new installation was performed.)

Well, the thing is in some cases, that the game is literally too old.  Most systems are 64-bit and CoH is 32-bit.  Plus there's the whole OpenGL thing.  Intel's graphics don't even support it anymore, so a lot of new laptops can't run it.

Sadly, I am not the person to help you, I don't think, but the computer savvy folks who can help you will want to know what you are trying to run the game on. :)

try this...go into the CoH folder and find the file Tequila.xml.  Delete it and then try running Tequila again.

I seen that deleting the .xml file in other posts for other issues, and I tried it before. Still doing the same thing.  I'm about to give up unfortunately.  I don't know what else there is to try.

Try:

Turn off your firewalls and try again.

Turn off anything like Norton Internet security and try.

If it is stored in a folder on your C:\ right click and run as administrator.

If I was to guess it's a connection issue.  The updates/game are stored at a different IP from the login/authorization server which is a different IP than the map and game servers.  I don't know what the current ones are but based on what you are saying I would think there is a failure to reach the authorization server that the game doesn't know how to handle so it's just churning as it retried until you kill the process.
