First Try building a toon. Demons/Dark/Soul

Any feedback is welcome. Constructive would be best. Really want SS for Invis when solo and not sure about petrifying gaze being good or just filler. Thinking about Blessing of Zephyr for Hover. Also iffy about Lash. Don't have enough high level knowledge to understand good from bad or good for bad. Kinda of a solo that can group support for PUGs. Thanks in advance.

The build will probably have some endurance issues. The Performance Shifter proc adds about 0.2 end and Panacea adds about .15 end recovery. Theft of Essense proc would probably help in Twilight grasp.


Mastermind Supremacy adds +25% dam/+10% tohit to your pets within 60' radius, and pet accuracy looks high. Tactics can be slotted for less, maybe just a +tohit/end IO.


Looks like your S/L res is still capped at +75% even when the Superior Mark of the Mastermind set bonus is removed from the Demon Prince. 


I really like Tar Patch and Howling Twilight. There's no power pick that will help your pets kill targets faster than Tar Patch. Howling Twilight doesn't need a dead ally to activate. Use it like a normal power to help prevent teammate/pet deaths. A big -rech/-regen/slow/stun debuff. I would build for recharge, get them up as often as possible. And get Hasten closer to perma.


Overwhelming Force KD proc in the T1 pets helps with their survivability. 


Petrifying Gaze is a good proc bomb if you're into that. I found myself using PG just because it was there, but there was no real dire need for it. Though it will stack with the Demon Prince and Dark Servant hold powers.

 

The best thing about the whip attacks are the -res debuff it provides. They also look pretty cool. I would skip them if endurance is too much of a problem.


Maneuvers is 6 slotted with LotG with the final bonus providing +4.5% res to tox/psi. A Shield Wall unique with provie +5% res to all damage types.


Other players have mentioned the uptick in dps with Hell on Earth active. I've never done testing for them before so I'm not sure how well they perform. I would slot them up regardless.


Almost everything I said you can take with a grain of salt. You built for some high resists (For an MM) and have two big -tohit debuff powers. The build will perform well with little to no changes at all. Sorry if my reply sounds like gibberish, been an insomniac the past couple of nights.

One thing I did on my Demons build is that I used Hell on Earth to mule all of the unique pet auras, which opened up more effective slotting on the rest of the demons.  That does cost me the 6 slot bonuses in both ATOs (which are admittedly not that important since they're resistances) but with some frankenslotting I was able to make up for the that and having all six auras greatly improves your pets' survivability.  With all six auras, your pets get +10% Defense, an extra 15% against AoE attacks, +35% resistance to all, and a smidge of regen.  I primarily use Hell on Earth for it's damage bonus and have +Recharge supplemented through slotting so i'm not terribly worried about the extra benefits of the power.

   So after looking at your build a few things sttod out.......first was your defense ratings were insane, as a scrapperlocked infused MM I'm very impressed........second is similar to the first resist capped and to S/l, again impressed......thirdly is the endurance issues you will be facing is gonna make you cry......trust me there I also run a demon/storm MM..  

 

  My main is a demon/dark and I'm currently leveling up a 2nd one up with a different build that incorporates sorcery pool......I like the look of RoP.

 

On  to the feedback........Stealth can be easily achieved with shadowfall and the stealth IO in sprint so no need if SS, unless you just like the power.  Love me some holding powers and pet gaze is one of my faves....great for locking down annoying enemies......looking at you Dark Ring Mistresses and Master Illusionists with either 4 slots of Baslisk Gaze for the recharge bonus, 5 slots of the purples for the recharge bonus or 6 slots of lockdown for the defense bonus., hell even as a proc attack. Fearsome stare I loce with cloud sense set as I like to turn it into a mini proc attack, 6 slotted with the set for recharge bonus and the ranged defense. Howling twilight, this is your opening move as it will stun the entire mob so slot it with the annihilation -res proc and watch the mob melt away thanks to your demons and if you have an extra slot put in another proc like bombardment chance for fire damage.  Twilight Grasp, spam it not only is the heal good but it's debuff is nice also with multiple ways to take advantage of it.......theft of essence set with the proc for a chance of endurance, touch of the nictu set with the damage proc or my personal favorite cloud sense 6 slotted cause I love those bonuses. Master mind attacks are a choice, some take them and others don,t.........I love them but then again I play my MM's like scrappers so I'm a bit crazy.

 

    There's not any one way to build a good and solid MM as the best thing about the AT is everything we can do that other builds can't.......we got a freaking army. Build it....test it and enjoy it......or build it and rebuild it until it suits you as most of my MM's have been built and rebuilt over and over again. I'll post my main for you to kook at to see some of my choices......these are choices I've made based on my play style and in a way I find fun but it's not for everyone..

@DocMidknight I really like your build and think it is more group useful than mine. Adjusted a few things and going to keep it as a second build for grouping. Here is my revised Try #2 with improved slotting. I have cut down on some sets to get more auras and incorporate 1 Panacea and 3 Performance Shifter, as well as taking advice on some other set adjustments. Still don't think it is anywhere near optimized, especially since I just learned about incarnates. Will continue to look and play. This has been very informative and helpful.
