Dunno if this was sugested yet but with several powers getting the amazing: "lets make this feel better to use" treatment, I had this idea.

 

Radiation Emission > Fallout

 

Decrease activation time from 3.2s to 2.5s.

This power is now usable on enemy corpses

Recharge reduced from 300s to 240s

 

When we think of radiation, we think about nuclear power. It is fitting that this support set gets a nuke! But currently it is sooooo niche to use that most people skip it. You gotta have someone dead, in the middle of a group of enemies so it's worth using. And it takes so long to activate that the enemies are either dead, or you are, or the person rezzed, and just feels bad all around.

 

This way you can do the same as a warshade, and nuke a corpse! Maybe the damage can scale, full damage if you nuke a boss, 0.8 if you nuke a Lt, and 0.6 if you nuke a minion corpse.

Just expand it to be useable on *any* defeated entity, then scale the damage it deals based upon the target - Players = AVs/GMs > EBs > Bosses > LTs > Minions > Underlings

That could be an idea I can get behind.

 

Now you just need to convince the devs that Rad needs a buff.

Probably a long uphill climb to get radiation emission a buff.  But if i were to fiddle with it,  i would go a different route.

 

I would give the debuff toggles a chance to apply irradiated to the enemies hit by the debuff.  Fallout would be usable on the irradiated targets.  The chance to become irradiated increases if you are within the radius of choking cloud,  under the effects of lingering radiation or if both toggles are on the same target.  This would reward players for using their debuffs with the ability to nuke them with fallout.

 

But new mechanics that buff radiation are probably even less likely than changing it to be usable against defeated foes as mentioned above.  I completely agree that fallout is pointless though.  I skipped it here and  i skipped it on the retail servers.  Im not a fan of only usable while dead abilities that dont revive.  I prefer to rez and get more damage from alive allies.
