During live gravity control was always known as the middle of the road controller set, It's wasn't the best set, that honor going to earth, nor the most damaging. Would it be possible to add a root component into gravity similar to earth? Meaning if you're a controller with knock backs or on a team unlike earth Gravity has no anti knock back to keep enemies in place when casting CC. Also Gravity's one and only mass immobilization has a really long recharge time. How about reducing it a bit so that it has a bit more utility? For that matter how about replacing propel or knock back with some type of group damage power ?

Crushing Field has an 8 second recharge, which is exactly the same as the AoE immobilize in every other control set. If you're referring to Gravity Distortion Field (the AoE hold), the 240 second recharge is exactly the same as the AoE hold in every other control set.

The lack of -kb in Gravity's immobilizes is a defining feature and shouldn't be changed. If you want AoE damage, you can pick that up in your epic pool. Very few of the control sets have significant AoE damage. Gravity received a major overhaul in I22. I think it's largely OK as is.

8 seconds isn't long.

Propel is a signature power of Gravity Control.  Like Wormhole, it's what sets it apart from other control sets.  It's highly unlikely that any development team running any of the Co* server groups would ever remove it from the set, and even less likely that it would be replaced by a "group damage power".

Gravity Distortion and Gravity Distortion Field both grant the target 10000% resistance to knock effects...

Then why if say you cast storm while having enemies locked down are they tossed around? Where as with earth or earth storm while storm is going enemies aren't being knocked back. You should try both sets to see the difference

It's a single target damage /knock back that tosses random junk at an enemy. The animation is slow, the range limited and you have to slot heavy acc in order for it to properly work

I was talking about the mass immobilization. that does have a long recharge. you are right very few control sets have damage instead being CC heavy or damage heavy in the case of Illusion. Gravity is neither.  It is neither the CC king of earth or Damage whore of illusion or fire but rather being that one person in the room overshadowed by bigger, louder personalities and not really allowed to shine on its own merits. Gravity should be unique and possess something that makes it stand out as just a middle of the road controller set. At the very least because its gravity it should be able to lock down mobs they they aren't being knocked around if you are a storm secondary in much the same way as earth.

Propel has standard base hit chance, which, as with thousands of other powers in this game, works out to 75% chance to hit a +0 critter.  One -1 Accuracy SO takes it above the 95% cap versus +0 critters.  If you want to fight foes above +0, yes, you have to slot it with more Accuracy (two +0 Accuracy SOs will bring it to 93.88% hit chance versus +3 enemies) or use ToHit buff powers (Tactics, for instance), and that's not out of the ordinary for this game.

Propel's animation time is 2.244 seconds.  While that isn't the fastest animation in the game, it is quite reasonable.  It's not Lift fast, but it's not Wormhole slow, either.  For that 2.244 seconds of time spent, the power deals considerable damage (especially for a controller, which gains the benefit of double damage on controlled foes (and it applies a small bonus on top of that if the control used is Gravity Distortion)) and AoE soft control.  The KB/KD is a secondary effect, the excellent damage is the primary effect, and only the primary target is knocked back, all other enemies affected are knocked down.  If you would like the primary target to be knocked down, slot a Sudden Acceleration KB->KD IO or Overwhelming Force Damage/Chance for Knockdown/KB->KD IO.

The AoE Immobilize power is Crushing Field.  Crushing Field has an 8 second recharge time.  I'm going to guess that you've been referring to Dimension Shift as "the mass immobilization".  Dimension Shift is not "the mass immobilization" power of the set, that's Crushing Field.  Dimension Shift is a phasing power, which can be best regarded as an AoE Hold With A Twist (you can't deal damage to enemies unless you're inside the AoE, nor can they deal damage to you unless you're inside the AoE).  If you simply want to Immobilize a group, use Crushing Field, which has an 8 second recharge time.  If you want an AoE Hold on an 8 second recharge time, that's as unlikely to happen as Propel being replaced with an AoE blast.

You don't appear to be terribly familiar with Gravity Control.  Perhaps playing it before calling for changes would be a wiser approach.

Gravity's holds (Gravity Distortion and Gravity Distortion Field) do have -kb, as do Earth's. The -kb doesn't last the full duration of the hold (for either Gravity or Earth), which is why held enemies can be knocked back after the -kb expires.

Gravity's immobilizes (Crush and Crushing Field) do not have -kb. As I said above, this is a defining feature of Gravity and shouldn't be changed. It is useful with Storm, as it allows you to use Gale or Hurricane to push immobilized mobs into corners. Perhaps you should learn to play Storm properly rather than blaming Gravity's design. Gravity's immobilizes also have -runspeed and -jump, which Earth's do not. This causes mobs which resist immobilize to be slowed.

Demonstrably false. You don't seem to know the difference between a hold and an immobilize.
