I ran a Numina tf last night, and enemy levels were all over the place, even in the same mission. I was 38th and leading it. I had it set to +2.

 

On the first couple missions, everything was either -1 or +2. Then the mission to go into Oranbega, suddenly the mobs were -2. 36th level mobs, when we were all 38+ running at +2. Wtf?

One day I'll do a +4 Synapses. One day. It'll need 3 kins and something with a lot of -res but my god will the end feel like a glorious victory.

I have been this leader. I have been sad. It actually put me off Posi 1 for a little while.

Then you have the follow-up "DO'H!," where people zone back in and race off, not knowing that the remainder of the ambush will come to you at the entry point (and that it *might* be a good idea to gather THERE). 

 

But...I have been that leader, "that guy," and that guy (the one who knows what he's doing). Hell, I've been that guy and still done "that guy" stuff (like auto targeting that extra CoT group, because what we really need right now is another mob at the door...yes...ALL the mobs...you're welcome...).:-)

That said, I have quit TFs on rare occasion.  Back on live, my friend and I joined a Synapse with 3 other players.  We wanted to speed, they wanted to kill all.  We went back and forth for a bit and we finally split off after we killed Bertha while the others were still by the door.  We started a new Posi with just two of us and finished an hour or so before the others.  They were very proud of themselves.  My friend and I thought they were crazy.  They probably thought the same of us.
