Burnt Toast Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 This character became my main pre-sunset - from the moment Time became an option. Fire/Time Corruptors can be loads fun and do quite a bit of damage without worrying about survival. My Fire/Time had the Recharge Alpha and the -Mez Incarnate Power so even stuns/holds were not an issue. Perma Hasten Perma Build Up + Farsight Soft capped defense to everything...even Psi. Near perma (2 seconds) to Chrono Shift (It becomes perma with recharge alpha incarnate easily). May I introduce you to.... Frakk Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 You rearranged things a bit from your one from yesteryear. Time has quickly become my favorite secondary power set. BTW totally stealing this build.
Techno Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 Just a quick FYI, this build only has capped defenses when Power build up is active. Its actually around 43% Def to Melee/Range/AOE If you put the Gladiators +3%def proc in somewhere it would be OK
Burnt Toast Posted May 12, 2019 Author Posted May 12, 2019 The "downtime" of 43%+ defense to all is 2 seconds... On live I did have the Glad Proc - BUT I am not using any purples or pvp IOs in my current builds. This character was a beast on live and can easily be made that way again now. I actually haven't been playing my Fire/Time as I have been focusing on other characters (mainly Sentinels). Just a quick FYI, this build only has capped defenses when Power build up is active. Its actually around 43% Def to Melee/Range/AOE If you put the Gladiators +3%def proc in somewhere it would be OK
Suprfli6 Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 If you were going to do this build with purples, what would the benefit be over what you have now? Would you just be able to stack a bit more recharge and maybe some other resists? Fire/Time is going to be the next character I build and I can afford to do purples/superiors/etc so I'm curious if you think it would be a noticeable improvement.
KelvinKole Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Can you explain how that is achieved? Power build up has a 12 second duration, with 76 second cool down. Isn't that 64 second downtime? It's still very good. I'm just trying to see what you're seeing. The "downtime" of 43%+ defense to all is 2 seconds... Adeon Hawkwood Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Can you explain how that is achieved? Power build up has a 12 second duration, with 76 second cool down. Isn't that 64 second downtime? Most of the Defense comes from Farsight. which is a click power. Therefore if you cast Farsight while PBU is active the increased defense that Farsight gets from PBU will persist for the entire duration of Farsight even after PBU expires. Now obviously for the toggle powers (Combat Jumping, Weave and Maneuvers) the extra defense will end once PBU expires. Defender Smash!

I can get the recharge on Farsight and PBU down to about 60 seconds each. The duration is 120 seconds on Farsight, so it would always have two boosted stacks after the first cast. This would enable a lot less investment in other powers (weave, maneuvers, etc.)

In general most buff and debuff powers do not stack multiple times from the same caster, although you can stack them from different casters. Defender Smash!
Burnt Toast Posted May 21, 2019 Author Posted May 21, 2019 I have actually done some tweaking to my build. I now have the entire set of Malice of the Corruptor as well as enough Catalyst to make them superior. I also have the Overwhelming Force/Damage Knockdown enhancement so I wanted to take advantage of that. So what does this build offer? Permanent: Hasten, Power Build Up, Farsight, and...Chrono Shift. Soft capped defense to every type of damage and position of damage. End use of 1.1 and end recovery of 4.1 with a max endurance of 106.8 ToHit bonus of 59.2% on top of the accuracy bonus of 27%. It also has a small (10.5%) damage bonus. Once I have tier 3 Clarion I will also have perma mez protection. This build is slightly better than the one I actually had on live and is the final build I will be doing for this character :) Hero Plan by Mids' Hero Designer 1.962 http://www.cohplanner.com/ Click this DataLink to open the build! WarScribe Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Was looking to compare my ice/time build to others, and found this. Your build is pretty nice. Only difference between yours and mine is that I have soft cap range, energy, and negative energy Def outside of any buffs, about 20% more rech, 200 more hp, and about 2% more global dmg. I also don’t have powerboost/build up, so I buff the Def with the other Clarion
Burnt Toast Posted June 18, 2019 Author Posted June 18, 2019 Clarion is nice... until you exempt below level 45 and do not have access to it. I do a lot of various TFs etc so relying on an incarnate power to do what I get from my primaries is not something that works for me. That said... if my build inspires people..cool... If they copy it..cool.. if they go their own way...cool. I have slightly modified my build and will probably do it again once the new snipe goes into effect. Hope you are enjoying your ice/time :) Was looking to compare my ice/time build to others, and found this. Your build is pretty nice. WarScribe Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 You definitely have a nice build there. Especially without a bunch of super expensive stuff. I personally don’t like exempting so that’s why the clarion route makes more sense to me. But if the off chance I do, 1 purple should soft cap me to everything (foresight being active). I went the soul mastery route to take advantage of perma soul drain, but of course the effectiveness of that is based on how many mobs I can get. Thank you for sharing your build. It’s pretty inspiring, especially if people don’t have their own build.
WarScribe Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Out of curiosity, did you not take the nuke for any particular reason? I know I love having it so readily available on my toon
