Archery/Trick Arrow

My first character was an Empathy Defender. There are times you want to help the team and not have to be responsible fo rothers health/fortitude/etc... so I came up with my Archery/Trick Arrow Corruptor. This character is not built with soft cap defense, but it's not needed when you consider everything it can do to the baddies; especially their -tohit, -damage, and the -defense it does to them.

This is definitely a character which is best played at range - which is not something I was used to even with my "non-melee" characters (controllers and other corruptors).

 

I have not remade this character yet as I have been busy with around 8 other ones, but it is definitely on my list of characters to get back to 50!

I could actually see a healing arrow - in that you have Disruption Arrow it could be the same mechanic - A "Disruption" effect that send out healing akin to triage beacon's radius heal. Heck you could simply add this effect to the current Disruption Arrow and not have to invent a whole new power.

 

I see you didn't take Healing Arrow. (ducks and runs)

 

Altho, it would be really funny and fun if that was made an actual thing.

You could give it an effect similar to the Dark Melee power Siphon Life, so it draws HP from the target and has a small AoE heal... but then you'd need to rebalance the power.

yea. no. please no. no heals. I specifically chose this defender back in the day because it had no heals and I was not expected to be babysitting everyones health. I much prefer to be crowd control and debuff goon with some ok damage. still not sure if I would have more fun this time around rolling him as a defender or a corrupter? are the debuffs on corrupter much weaker?

I don't think we ever need to worry about a "healing" arrow. The debuffs are somewhat weaker on a Corruptor than a Defender, but when you take into account the increased Damage from a Corruptor - it evens out.
