Techwright
What's the backstory to both Excelsior's Cosmic Platform base and those similar in the other shards? Who created them, who runs them? Is it different people per shard? Is there a way we can make requests/suggestions? I, for one, really liked the holiday version in the past of the Excelsior one and was saddened that it didn't appear last December. I'd love to see it again, and maybe other seasonal ones. I'd also like the Empowerment Stations to reach level 3. I didn't initially realize there were levels with these, and wondered why the Cosmic Base's offerings were different than that found in my SG base. Lastly, is there any way we can get the word out better as to their existence and how to add them to your controls? Like maybe adding them to a pop-up description for new characters? I've recently been finding several players per task force that have never heard of the Cosmic Base, and it shows because the number of players inside it at any time has dropped off significantly. I find it an indispensable tool for Task Forces, especially Numina's, and I'm sure others will as well. Those that I told seemed genuinely interested in making it a part of their tool set as well.
Vexxillion
Hubs are just player-created public bases and there are several on Excelsior, each with its own macro. I can't speak for the activity of the The Cosmic Council's hub. In terms of base items, you might be looking for the Super Collider object for the higher tier empowerment stuff. I don't see them listed on the Excelsior base list in the wiki https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Excelsior_Base_List There are plenty of transport hubs listed. 1 If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they are most probably on ignore. Some of them even know that I have them on ignore. But that won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. It's who they are. There is a group of them that have banded together to do it. They think that it is acceptable. Ignore is a tool to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using it. Vexxillion
It's the first one on the list and sort of the first main big one that was advertised on Excelsior. On that note (and to OP,) advertising and quality of the base are the two main things. I created The Station and (try to) advertise it in AP broadcast and Help channels during peak hours. The ad is usually focused toward players who are either new, don't have an SG, or just need an easy to use and well made travel hub. There are a few dozen people who use it regularly as a result. You do bring up a good point about getting the word out better. Maybe one solution would be to have a pinned post in each respective sub forum containing that shard's travel hubs? Just a simple list that could be added to would work.

Anyone can go in and edit the wiki; change the order of the base and even move other people's bases from one category to another. (which they shouldn't be doing) If the list was in alphabetical order it would still be first on the list. (I think it was in alphabetical order at one point) Just because it is listed first on the wiki only means that someone edited the page to put it there (or was left there when other bases were mixed in out of order after it being alphabetized.) 3 hours ago, Vexxillion said: Maybe one solution would be to have a pinned post in each respective sub forum containing that shard's travel hubs? Vexxillion
Ah you're right, they are spelled different, but that's certainly the base they meant. Not sure what your point about changing the wiki is. A pinned post with some structure would do wonders.
