If you have a decent amount of procs in your attacks you should just keep attacking as normal.

I have KO Blow proc’d but rest not. Its wind up is long so it’s easy to have it hit while crashed. Footstomp still knocks up even if damage isn’t great. Mine is a shield/ss tank. I technically had an ss/fire brute but he just farms and not often. Need to do non farm build on him soon.
