Costume , ice armor minimal question

So trying to change my Ice armor look and it gives the minimal fx option for couple of the powers but choosing them doesn't seem to work, if anything they got worse. Does this not work? or is there a setting I am missing?

Using the far left column of colours with Minimal FX/Colour Tintable is about the best you're going to get when it comes to many of the armours.

That is disappointing I had hoped they had finally done something with the ice armors. I took some time off from playing and missed the last 2 updates so when I saw the Minimal FX option I had high hopes.
